Not that I'm a huge Trump-humper, but he probably just solidified his position for life, if he pulls this off.

Baby steps bro.

Get it legal, then free the slaves.

This is pretty cool to witness.

I can't disagree with that.

President Trump said he likely will support a congressional effort to end the federal ban on marijuana, a major step that would reshape the pot industry and end the threat of a Justice Departmentcrackdown.

Trump’s remarks put him sharply at odds with Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions on the issue. The bill in question, pushed by a bipartisan coalition, would allow states to go forward with legalization unencumbered by threats of federal prosecution.

I'm not sure what kind of 420 dimensional chess Trump is playing here but I'm pretty sure he's winning.
He has sessions running Hardline psyops misdirection when he drops this green bomb on a weekend.
Brilliant.
Libs are probably going to be so confused they won't know whether to let their heads explode or light one up and chill out.

Stay tuned.
Trust sessions?
Enjoy the show!

About damn time.

It's really stupid to oppose it. I hope he can pull it off, and it curtails a lot of the cartels from coming here.

What's even funnier is that now the leftists are going to be against pot legalization!

Oh yeah!!! The leftist hippies are so gonna be against it!

The TDS potheads?

Ummm. I have no idea what point you are trying to make.

You said this:

The TDS folks can't decide whether to #$%& or wind their watch, hehe.

Does that include the TDS potheads? I would think they would be very happy with this.

No, no. My only point was that the President can be unpredictable. There are more than enough of us that support legalization AND the President.

Exactly. So that's why I asked a sarcastic question. You just can't help but bring the TDS in something that is absolutely wonderful.

I'm sorry for offending your sensibilities.

Let’s give a round of applause to Elizabeth Warren then. I’m sure all the Trump supporters can get behind that.

Sessions needs to step aside on this one.

We know where he stands.

Trump has been fairly consistent on the issue going back to his Howard Stern days. His official position during the campaign, was that it is a states matter. This legislation does, in fact, return the responsibility to the individual state.

Always with the galaxy brain super takes.

It's like you crawled out of a bomb shelter that you'd been living for in years with no contact with the outside world. The whole reason that legal pot has been taking root is the use of prosecutorial discretion under the last administration.

Google the "Cole memo."

Then Google how Trump's AG rescinded it 5-6 months ago.

Heck even folks in Oklahoma look to be ready to vote in favor of Medical MJ.

I don't think Christians would run out on him over this, since he is also coming across as Pro-Life, and more Christians are ok with the idea now than when we were kids.

Nah you didn't offend me. I just find it hilarious that TDS people trigger you so much that you keep bringing it up in threads that have nothing to do with them.

a reply to: olaru12 I`m a conservative and a Christian.I am all for legalizing pot.Why punish people for getting high?As long as you are responsible-don`t drive high, for example if you want to relax with a joint I`m not condemning you. After all,Jesus made the best wine ever from water at a wedding celebration.Besides all that, treating others right would mean not throwing someone in jail if they are not causing anyone harm.

Well it does seem that many conservative Christians support the legalization. The question is how many and how many will back Trump on this, especially the evangelical Christians.

This is great news! He's going to pick up more voters who have supported and waited for this.

He's also calling on the NFL and other Sports to do something instead of 'talking'. He's calling on them to recommend people deserving of pardons, who've been wronged by the criminal justice system. He's saying he will pardon Mohammed Ali posthumously as well.
