Would you tell the Government?

I was just reading and came across this idea.

Let’s say you were playing with radios, light signals or something and made contact with aliens.

What would you do and who would you try to tell?

Would you tell SETI or METI?

Would you even bother telling the Government (FBI, CIA, DOD etc.)?

As far as I know there is no official orginizarion that deals with alien contact.

Do you think if you tried to tell others they’d all call you crazy and ignore you?

If so, would you even bother telling anyone?

Would you just have fun with it by yourself?


I think there’s a good chance aliens exist, are millions of years more advanced, and are probably studying humanity. What if they are already here interacting with citizens but they won’t tell anyone?

Why would you even have to tell the government? they would already know what you are doing, they always know.

Following the sightings in 2006 we sent a letter to the British MOD to ask if there was any recording on their radars that day or any other reports of unusual activity in the sky that day. We received a letter in reply from them which is still around somewhere. I just needed to know if they knew anything on the incident but they didn't. I genuinely do believe the government isn't that interested in the ufos these days or haven't got a clue (like us lot) what is actually going on up there.

Id tell them but wouldnt allow their input. I wouldnt want them to mess it up like they already have.

I was daydreaming once and penciled a short story about first contact. I have often considered just what would I do?
The only one I would tell would be my son. He and I have talked about first contact at length many time, often around the campfire while sleeping under the stars. We believe along the same lines and he wouldn’t turn it into a circus.
The “pros like AA or Mufon, or the Government types” I wouldn’t trust. I mite post it on ATS, no one believes us anyway.

There is no Government you can trust yet........Trump and Friends will need one more term to get things set straight.....if you say anything now you could be in danger....the government....lol....lol..it is not re-established yet but it is on its way......IMHO you should hold off till things solidify...we are gonna have to fight....and the rotten anti-humanitarian terrorists who have sold us out and who Trump and Friends are now hunting down and remediating HAVE CUT SIDE-DEALS with the weaker team we could have chosen better for Humanity and now we are screwed.....so save your data for a President who is human and who is on your side.

Well it happened to me.

I was a good little soldier and reported everything to MUFON
in great detail. But you know.. reporting to MUFON means
it's reported to Robert Bigelow.. which means it's reported
"to the government" too.

And they hoovered out all the details that could possibly
help crack the mystery and posted garbage of no value
on the MUFON site.

I think that's a pretty good indicator of how things routinely
go.

I would get a permit to setup a Demonstration in front of the federal court house downtown. Then hopefully somebody there, like the guy who is always out there preaching love for Jesus and his love for us, would maybe notice what is happening. Why tell somebody, when you can tell everybody at the same time. Unless the et somehow made it clear to not do such a thing.

I don't know the purpose to the question,

If they are and no one says anything then we would not have posters on ATS and the internet making claims of being in contact with ET.

The real question you should be asking is if you only make radio contact or light signaling how does that confirm you are actually in contact with ET and not just someone pretending?
