Obviously this has something to do with the entire racial incident that happened recently. I have no proof of this other than speculation at this point but I also have a strong feeling that although it seems like they are doing good, they are also not doing as good as they seem.

Why do I think that?

People can't afford to go to Starbucks. My thread digs into statistics verifying my perspective on disposable income, which is what I believe to be causing the retail apocalypse. I know I know Amazon is picking up all the business, sorry but I'm calling BS on that.

It simply comes down to the fact that the majority of Americans have experienced a level of inflation that has priced them out of the market. Go ahead, try to ignore it but I have the data on my side.

CNBC

As Schultz announces his exit, Starbucks stock falls. Is Starbucks hot or not? With CNBC's Melissa Lee and the Fast Money traders, Tim Seymour, Karen Finerman, Dan Nathan and Guy Adami.

Essentially the news claims he's running for president but I'm not buying that BS. Something tells me sales haven't been great this year as people are no longer as commit to the chain as they once were. Also, I find it odd that the former Chairman and CEO of Jcpenney is being appoint chair of Starbucks.

I'm ashamed to admit it but I do like their whole bean expresso roast coffee.

Never stepped foot in one but I'll buy that coffee whenever it's on sale.

It would be a great trade off if SB went under and small coffee shops were able to pop back up.

Oh my, imagine if that whole racial incident was staged by those guys.

They eat their own!

Oh I like Starbucks personally, the cold brew ice coffee anyway.

This isn't a personal thing with me and Starbucks I was checking out market stuff today.

I wouldn't be surprised by anything anymore. The incident was obviously staged.

I don't know. There's several Starbucks in my area and they're always really busy. I realize that's not a scientific and Data Driven analysis, but in the past year, I don't think I've been in or past a Starbucks that's doing badly. The one right next to my place of business super busy.

They are pretty busy in places.

I'm merely speculating on that. Their stock has been trending down for a while but it's still not anywhere near bear territory, see what happens tomorrow.

The Starbucks in the grocery store has stopped putting enough flavor syrup in my latte for me to taste it lately.

I ask for cinnamon dulce, and I can't tell if they actually put it in there. I prefer the little corner coffee joint. I can get a large for grande money and when I ask for cinnamon, I taste cinnamon.

This, I think, is a blip. Stock will go down and then back up. In the long term it's nothing to worry about. Starbucks will remain as strong as ever. The only starbucks I see doing badly are the ones they've put in the supermarkets...some are busy, some are slow. I could see some of those closing, but that has nothing to do with this incident.

that's kind of what I meant by, "in places"

I'm not convinced this has anything to do with a presidential race unless I hear otherwise.

I don't go to Starbucks because I hate to wait in line. AT the 7/11 they let me fill my thermos with triple caff for a buck.

And the cute little gal behind the counter gives me the day old donuts gratis.

I guess the whole hiring thousands of illegals, Happy Holidays not Christmas, and other liberal grandstanding hasn't worked out too well for Starbucks.

They thought they were the majority.

They were wrong.

There's a saying... "Keep it simple"
Look at In and Out Burger

No one wants to spend a Lincoln or Hamilton for a candy coffee.

Ok, I just had to respond to this one, because you sound exactly like me. Over the last couple of years I've noticed that cinnamon dulce latte's don't taste as sweet as they used to, which sucks, because I liked it since it tasted sweet while not being too sweet. Every time I've asked about it, they always claim they make it the same way they always have. I think they're going for cheaper syrups.

If you ever do go back to a Starbucks, I'd recommend ask for 2 extra pumps, it should be free. That gets it right back to where it used to be.
