Thinking about and speaking words do, but not hearing them. One needs to understand the words before knowing what they mean. Am man yelling “Огонь” in a crowded theatre will cause very little but mild confusion. No, it’s not the words.

I agree. Les would agree too. LOL. Words mean nothing. But it does seem to have effect on certain people. For example the cyberbulling on social media result in teenagers committing suicide. Like that girl Michelle Carter. Words mean nothing. Pfft.

Words mean things. But they do not choose how people should act. That’s just simple physics and biology.

Words only have the power you give them.

You have the power to choose how you react.

Can't give that power to the mobs.

Maybe not too off topic since Roseanne's tweet seem to effect people, regardless of her intent or unthoughtfulness.
The result? Cancellation of the show.

Half of America is on Meds. It's considered normal these days isn't it? And having access to booze in every 7-11 and corner store in the Nation doesn't help .

Yes even white people can be racist to each other just like Hispanics, Asians, Africans etc we can all be racist towards each other. I think it goes back to the cave man days and clan mentality, favor those in your family and those that look closest to you. Everyone else is stranger danger. I think a time will come where humans will be so mixed that we will become one big global culture.

Heres the kicker, if you are taking and abusing "legal " drugs you are not considered dangerous and it's just normal , however take illegal drugs and whamo you're a dangerous criminal with serious issues .

We should be fair to ABC they canceled an episode of black-ish because they were going to talk about the NFL's kneeling controversy. Perhaps ABC is just trying to be PC.

People talk bad about the view but it doesn't help that Roseanne retweeted fake news and doctored pictures of Whoopi and a fake tweet from joy behar. People need to get a grip on all sides (myself included) and try to verify before getting triggered and believing everything they read on Twitter, CNN, Facebook, ATS etc etc etc

I really hate when the right creates excuses for their antics but will lump an entire minority group together for the few.

It usually is,the right going with - lone wolf, bullied, medication or crazy person compared to blaming minorities -their culture breeds hate, their religion causes them to do it, their a bunch of thugs...etc
