An Arab and an ape had a baby named Valerie Jarrett. So that seems to mean that she is half ape. A talking ape at that.
How bigoted of you calling Muslims apes.

Yes. The word apes is in there. And racist people have always called black people monkeys and apes. If she didn't mean that then she should have been more careful but she messed up.
It seems that not only overtly racist people are making the connection between black people and apes.
You seem not to know the history behind it.
I'll make it more clear for you. We know that racist people call black people names like apes so hence it seems that she is being racist. That is what the outrage is about. Perhaps she should explain her tweet to make it more clear.

She said if the muslim brotherhood and the planet of the apes had a baby, that would be Valarie Jarret. She never said Jarret
nor black people are like apes and monkeys. I just find it interesting that those decrying the racist connotations, immediately ascribe those same racist connotations.

I don't see her explaining what she meant by that tweet. In fact she seems to admit that it was a racist joke.

A bad joke about her looks and politics... It was already pointed out she has a good likeness to Ari in the movies... Why not just say with an Ape and not Planet of the Apes if Ape was what she was really trying to say.
I think you just want to argue, and that is fine...lol

Bad taste? Sure.
Terminable? I dunno...in the old days the network would just give a statement that those were her words, not theirs. Then life would have moved on.
She's crazy, we all know it, just that some fainted when her crazy showed.

People have always called presidents bad names. Nothing new.
TV stations have the right to fire anyone for calling anyone bad names.
