Microsoft and Red Hat are pushing down the Spectre and Meltdown fixes.
For servers , they have a work-around because the Spectre patches are severely impacting I/O transfers of devices including Fiber HBAs and Copper NICs
. The very thing that brings ATS to you.
That may be the answer , instead of "throttling"
And , your local machine would be affected as well
Double the "whammy"
