I have been having about a 40 second delay or more to ats when clicking links.

I just tried a vpn and now it loads in 2 seconds.

This is familiar. For the last few weeks or maybe a month. I have also seen others complaining about this. My understanding is, that ATS staff is working on this issue.

Yeah, working on the issue can mean they are trying to throttle it more efficiently

Interesting, I'm not sure what they can do though.
It really seems like isp level throttling of websites.
I can duplicate this same thing on thepiratebay.
As soon as I activate a vpn, it's instant.

Weird

Hopefully ATS is being put on the poop list.

I think i will try VPN at some point too, if it has helped your browsing here. Maybe tomorrow i am having a serious and long browsing session here and then. I am not too good with computers (spend a lot of time online though...) but i just installed opera because VPN can be activated from settings with a few clicks, without any knowhow. I had to do it to see ice hockey from youtube without getting blocked due to location.

Yeah, I am back to the instant page opening like normal with the vpn running.

I use open vpn, specifically open vpn for Android.

You can't torrent on it, but I don't do that often anyway.

I doubt the free open vpn is secure, someone can see the traffic across their servers, but it at least stops the isp's from selling your browser history, or throttling and blocking "un-approved" websites.

It is bs if that's what is going on, these sites require traffic to stay in biz.

Haha, right?
Hopefully not an ATS pooplist, this site is fun.

You ever make a post and think

"Oh crap, I hope that one won't get me vanned?"

Lol, I do that daily.

Kinda hard watching history unfold the way it is right now, this timeline is getting cray-zy.

It's a good thing we repealed NN, because we know ISP throttling isn't a thing, and nobody would ever do that. This is just a coincidence!

Ummm...it’s purposeful...it’s also because of a certain...complacency...over net neutrality...

It coincides with the net neutrality decision a little too perfectly...

Yeah, I think isp's need junked for house to house wifi. It would work in cities anyway.

I think you are spot on, I saw this coming too.

Too much freedom of information for manipulating control freeks.

Microsoft and Red Hat are pushing down the Spectre and Meltdown fixes.
For servers , they have a work-around because the Spectre patches are severely impacting I/O transfers of devices including Fiber HBAs and Copper NICs . The very thing that brings ATS to you.
That may be the answer , instead of "throttling"
And , your local machine would be affected as well
Double the "whammy"

What hath Google Project Zero Wrought ?

It's good to see I'm not the only one.

Yeah, past month or so, there have been multiple occasions where i will click a link then tab out to do other things while I wait for the page to load. More often I just give up and come back later. I can't pin down why it happens only sometimes. Heavier traffic times? Seems random though.

No issues here. Phone, tablet or laptop... Never use home pc.. Most I've experienced is a few seconds delay...

I take that back.... When around fire trucks, police cars, road comm. trucks in my city services garage.... We lag sometimes..... But it's due to all the metal, vehicles, and surroundings in and above my ER. vehicle garage.

Move over, up or back like 10 ft, it loads fine due to repositioning myself and signal..
