Bloody hell.

A £200,000 dress ( $270,000 ) which will only ever be worn once.

I am completely speechless. How can a bloody dress cost that much? In The U.K. you could buy a house for that ( in some area's anyway )

What would ATS members do with £200,000 if they had it? One thing i can say, i wouldn't be buying my wife a dress.

I'm sure that most women with access to 2 hundred thousand pounds would be ordering the purest shimmering samite clothing with shoes to match at the drop of a hat. If they had the chance...

Jealous lol
It's pocket change to them.

Melanias wedding dress by Dior was $125,000.00 twelve years ago. By today's standards it's about the same.

Wow why not. If you had the money? Not even a less expensive one? Like could she get a two thousand dollar dress and a three hundred dollar pair of shoes?

Her dress was actually very simply stated, no pearls or jewel encrusted details, that adorn a lot of wedding gowns. But that diamond encrusted tiara probably cost the bulk of the 200,000lbs.

Is that white gold? Platinum? I doubt it's silver.

I'd buy a dress.

The wedding dress will probably be auctioned at some point, and a charity will benefit.

If I was filthy rich and my soon-to-be-literal princess fiance wanted a dress that cost that much, she'd get it in a heartbeat too. In fact, I'd probably just give her a card w/a $500,000 limit and tell her that that's the budget, tell her to tell me when I need to be fitted for my suit, and then to bring me when I'm needed (rehearsals, actual wedding, etc). I don't care one bit about anything to do with actual wedding ceremonies and would just want to get it over with. So if that's the dress she wants/needs/craves, then it's cool with me.

Remember, you're complaining about what literal royalty is spending on a lavish public event that will be documented all over the world. For comparison, Kim Kardashian's wedding dress supposedly cost around 8 times as much as the one you're complaining about. And she's not even a royal.

The Tiara was loaned to Meghan by The Queen.

It was originally made for Queen Mary in 1931.
