But some of the 22 shootings don't involve an angry person storming the school and shooting people.
Three examples from the 22:

I suppose even an accidental weapon discharge can be considered a "school shooting".
This isn't fake news from CNN, but it is deceptive. The network's on-air footprint is (thankfully) shrinking weekly, but Google (Android) and Apple (I-Phone) still push out CNN headlines to millions of smartphone owners.

If they spread their range lets say 50 miles around any school and say you can shoot anyone with anything they can really up their numbers.

It's not deceptive, it's outright lies. I pointed this out in a thread earlier this year. But hey, the ends justify the means, right...

Ok, so strike 3 from the record and the picture is still very bleak. Ironic a teacher brought a gun to his school to promote gun safety but accidentally injured a student with said gun. BB guns shouldn’t be listed because who dies from a BB gun? I guess a fatal shot at close range to the head could do the trick or if you’re a black 12 y/o gunned down by cops for playing with one. The shooting on a college campus I’m not familiar with but if someone was shot with malicious intent it definitely qualifies, if it was an accident then strike it from the record.
