Those are personal quotes and not necessarily international policy .
And , as far as most of those quotes that refer to a Nation of Israel , you do know the US had only a bit to do with establishing of a Nation of Israel. That 80% was UN initiated and most of the rest British .
One of the first acts of the UN after the transition from the League of Nations.

I have really enjoyed this one but I have to get back to my first love....

Israel won because they siezed the initiative, had good strategy, and retained superior firepower. History is full of military upsets. Look at rorkes drift. To credit this as a miracle or divine protection is a disservice to the minds and fighters that executed the plan.
