In most states this is the case, I believe, but according to ATS member Xcathdra, a New York Law allows for a presidential pardon to stand in for state felonies as well. I don't know the specifics, but if you search out that member's posts you will find more detailed explanations. That member is a former LEO and has lots of knowledge in regards to legal processes.

I recall years ago how mockingbird media told us that McAfee had gone crazy, had gone paranoid-schizo, was a rapist, was a criminal, etc. I swallowed it unquestioningly.

But having seen first-hand what the MSM does to Truth-Speakers (Assange & Trump being the most recent examples), I have to wonder...

I agree with your assessment of Cohen. But to be honest Donald Trump has the kind of personality that attracts people who want to be "larger than life". After all, Trump had a top-rated TV entertainment show.

We haven't seen the last of this guy..

In the Real World, slander or libel is just about impossible to recover damages for.

Only one thing that can break through the "free speech" barrier, and that is to accuse someone of sexual misconduct, especially a crime like rape.

Of course the absolute defence against libel is "truth", but that can be muddled in this toxic environment.

Also, there are two different standards for libel, one for private persons and another for "public" people.

Add together a [P] business that can show financial damages, and an owner who is not fully a "public person", like a politician, and there could be a legit legal claim.

Just for general knowledge when people ponder why PG is such a forbidden topic.

If the rumors we've heard, the information we've looked at, the things that we suspected and were told to leave alone are true..

Pain is the politest way I can think to put what should come to these people.

The ANGER of the American... no not just American, the people of the world will be.. exponential, and unimaginable.

These people will have to be locked up secretly for their OWN safety, tho they don't deserve it.

I think, in this case, the 8th Amendment should be temporarily suspended in these special cases.

When this was published, it seemed too horrific to be true. But now it's EASY to believe what the NYPD says is on Weiner's laptop:

Detective Miosotis Familia was shot and killed from ambush as she sat in a marked mobile command post vehicle at the intersection of East 183rd Street and Morris Avenue in the Bronx.

As she sat in the vehicle at approximately 12:30 am a male approached and fired one shot through the window, striking Detective Familia in the head.

Threats are real.
This is not a game.
She worked the Bronx, so I am not sure if it is related. HUMA and Weiner didn't live in the Bronx. It was an out of the blue death, pretty much a hit, so that's suspicious.

I figured there was something to it, with how quickly it was put under wraps.

Something that juicy would linger, unless quashed from above, hard.

Sadly, I don't think they ever did find the cop killer responsible for her death. I hope she gets the justice she deserves.

Indeed, anything tied to the Clintons and others in their circles seems to lead to an untimely demise.

I'm glad the body count has slowed.

I'm eager to see the marks on the good guys' belts start climbing now, not in deaths but in convictions and incarcerations.
