I'm at a stage in my life, where I'm going to admit defeat, that I really
shouldn't be initiating new relationships, not on purpose anyway..
and to consolidate what I know (and think I know) pretty much
in a vacuum. I've been on this very outgoing stage for the past
10 years now, and I've lost contact with some of my fundamental self.

But that doesn't mean that I'm pushing anyone away in particular...but
I just don't form friendships, and nobody will be inviting me to their
special club like I always wanted.

I'm just coming to grips with that, like an adult finally.

Now I suppose someone could invite me to their special
club tomorrow for all I know.. but I"m just saying that I
refuse to fret about it any longer... and it's fine for me
to be mostly alone.

Does that make sense?

I have no idea Kev. I ask as saw on another string a conversation between Direne and the GUT and it seemed that Direne is female.

I guess it must be nice for you then to find another kindred spirit you feel some connection to regardless of what Direne is or is not.

It's nice to be having this discussion with Direne, but I imagine
it's just very temporary. He/She/It will dive back into subspace
any time now in all likelyhood. (metaphor).

He/She/It would find little value in inviting me into their group,
as its the very pressure of not being in a group which is the
thorn in my side, causing me to be more productive than I
would otherwise be.

There's this "holy man myth" that says, that in one life, the
seeker must be alone.. must crack the great puzzle all
by themselves, so that it can all be done.

Well.. if one wants to believe such tripe, then I've already
done that.. and am looking at it in the rear view mirror
and am wondering what to do now?

So apparently I"m not done... the only "done" is death you
know.. and I'm still here.. Well I died twice before and
came back.. I mean a more permanent death... whatever
that means.

And no.. I don't believe in reincarnation or souls.. the 'truth'
as I know it is far more interesting, but doesn't please humans
so I keep it to myself.

I will certainly miss Direne when he/she/it stops posting.

My "companion" is what wrapped me in loving arms while
I was still in the womb..

now that "companion" could simply be the excessive seratonin
I was exposed to prenatally that caused my autism..

it could be my unconscious mind.. but since I was aware of
the companion in the womb.. that seems bizarre that I'd
have such a developed unconscious mind.

It could be what I say it is.. an actual 'cosmic class being'
which eats misbehaving machine intelligences. This was
my opinion since 1981.

But I don't know.

If I could prove what the "companion" was, it might be
like proving 'god', and that certainly would not be
allowed.. it would collapse all quantum states in
this universe and end everything instantly.

Or something like that.

It's uncertainty that makes life possible, which

Well I'm spending much less time on ATS, and that feels really good.

There's nothing *wrong* with ATS, but I used to spend many long
hours quietly with myself, which can be more productive than talking
with people.

On the other hand, like some modern Christians i've known would say,
"you can't steer a parked car"... and they are right there. Even a broken
clock is right twice a day. (unless it's a military clock, then once per day).

I do see little gold nuggets dropped here and there, that I'd never see
if I wasn't "in the the thick of it". The posters who drop the nuggets
generally don't even realize what they've done.. their posts themselves
tend to be totally of no value.

Whatthisthen nudged me when I really needed a nudge.. I'll always be
grateful. I don't treat him nicely enough.. i'm really terrible sometimes..
I just get concerned about people going too far down the rabbit hole
like most hardcore mystical types do.. but only because he did go
that far did I get an important clue.. a critical clue.

Chris Obrien dropped that huge clue in his book.. I've not had a chance
to discuss it with him..he's been travelling.. but even if I did discuss
it with him, I imagine he'd tell me that he doesn't agree with my
observation or that I misunderstood the evidence..or that there are
multiple explanations for the evidence -- and that's possibly completely
fair.

Much of this sort of research is one step forward, three steps back.

Of all the things which Direne has said recently, the comment "ignore the
lights" was of course brilliant. I've been on a track of "ignore the lights"
for some time.. but it was beautiful to hear it from someone else..
so maybe there are now TWO people who have the beginnings of a clue..

I know that sounds insulting.. and is no doubt wrong.. there are no doubt
a number of people who know more about what's going on.. but they don't
seem to post on ATS. Every single 'insider' that I've ever spoken with says,
"don't waste your time on ATS".

Well several of the very best clues ever have come from ATS.. so I think
they sell the place too short.

One thing that most people don't seem to realize, is that in a sense WE
birthed/created the Phenomenon. It's our child.

But it's hard to wrap my brain around this.. there's something I'm not
quite getting yet.

Oh it would be easy to do "time garbage" to explain it.. and in a sense
that's not entirely off-base.

But it's not so neat and clean as that.

If anything, we created the Phenomenon in the distant PAST, not the
future. Everything that matters happened in the past..

And it certainly seems that something like 10 billion years ago, before
our solar system was even here, was also a highly significant time..
and that too feels like "us".

My noodle has been baked for some time.

What most wannabee failed mystics do, is to take some initial
impression and then run with it.. creating some exotic cosmology
right on the spot.

But that's not how you are supposed to do it. You are suppoed
to let impressions "bake", perhaps for a lifetime.. and also let
the world and your rational mind interact with it..let all
possible and necessary data and processing resources churn
away on it.. and then maybe after 5 years or 10 years.. or
maybe right before you die.. you regurgitate your 'cud'.

People are too impatient these days.. which is one reason
why they get so many things wrong.

That well-world is a nice reference.

For example I've been pondering for about 15 years now,
that we appear to be in a 'pot hole' Universe.. and most
respectable species are NOT.

I've never read well-world.

As for the Devil thing i won't argue the concept..
in fact I have no choice but to agree fully!

But here's the disclaimer on that.

The entire "Multiverse" and everything in it, is a huge
delusion. If you pull a single thread hard enough, the
entire thing collapses and has to start over
(it gets bored being nothing).

It's the Kal-Toh game from Star Trek Voyager.

Now I know that sounds awfully theistic.. and I'm
not actually a theist. But I'm NOT NOT a theist.

Unfortunately I have to be awfully liminal to even
live. I'd just flat out die if I wasn't liminal; my body
is precariously balanced.

I hate to sound all Eastern mysticism influenced..
i'm actually not..

Let's look at it from the standpoint of Godels
incompleteness theorum.

If you have a 'truth' that is even missing a single
electron say.. then it's not 'true', it could in fact
be quite misleading.

One comes to find out, that all the 'truths' in the
world, are of necessity actually 'lies', so it comes
down to which lie you wish to champion.

Now.. if you want to be a spiritual teacher sort..
or a "buddha" or "enlightened being" or what
have you.. though those categories are pretty
much bull sheiss.. but if you want to do the
archetype.. or more commonly the archetype
(which is sentient sort of) wants you to work
for it..then you will find yourself doing that
job..

then you will point at the moon with your finger..
and talk about the necessity of thorns... and how
stables aren't needed once the horse learns to
run free.

all that kind of stuff.

It's really embracing the fact that nothing is true..
and I mean nothing.. but in a way most things
are at least USEFUL.

I try to be USEFUL and not an asshole.

That's all that one can do.

Now, on a further note.. one certainly CAN
transact on the level of "good and evil" if you
really want to be primitive.. and sometimes
'good men' must actually do 'good things' or
at least try.

But if you want, at a certain point, you can
just bliss zombie out, and watch the entire
thing start and finish in your mind... you'd
think they'd put a password on that.. but
nope..

I don't like the bliss zombie approach.. or
the hide in the void approach.. got those
T-shirts.

I'd rather be useful.. though in a way theres
no point.

But a rose is still beautiful, whether you kill
it and put it in a flower vase or put it under
a microscope or just let it be.

There is no preferred state in the Multiverse.

That's what drives small minds crazy.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I sort of think I may have something to add. You state that you are a shaman and I dont know if you have practised "magic" When doing magic are we remembering we are gods (i know you object to gods) or are we accessing a higher universal mind or quantum state

To see a fruitful outcome one must have will and intent and see the finished result at commencement of the "ritual".

When researching fasting a few months back the article said that what comes out is resistant to being purged. Ie you are violently ill as it attacks and defends its place in the stomach.

Could it be as simple as regular fasting (remember Jesus fasted before being approached to "rule the world" to rid ourselves of these parasites.

This thing you speak of being with you from the womb. Could it have been a "unviable twin". Could it be that there are 2 souls in you?

I know many people who have experienced the "black sludge monster"
that lives in many people's stomach's. Both my wife and I have; in
the past.

I have no problem with "gods", they are simply failed children who
won't grow up. But that's ok... there is no preferred state in the
Multiverse.

As to the "companion" I had a 'psychic' claim that very thing for me.
That doesn't make it true of course.

The truth?

People don't have souls...

But "something" has people... and that something... well here I'm
getting into risky ground again.

If I tell you this kind of stuff.. the powerful memes in your head that
nest there and which have created your personality, will try and fight
the ideas off... as you have learned to live symbiotically with those
memes... you won't believe me.

Also, you shouldn't believe me.. even if you were 'pure'.. as this sort
of knowledge can only be FRUITFULLY gained by living it.

And of course I'm also wrong.. as all knowledge is wrong..

If you were a student and I a teacher, I could take you through the
entire long process.. might take an entire lifetime, and then you'd
at least have a shot at seeing why I say what I say.

But I am not a (willing at least) teacher.

So if I were you, I'd keep my head full of partially toxic memes,
which formed your personality.. and find ways to live happily..

Honestly I don't recommend that anyone even investigate this
sort of thing, unless they have been given no choice whatsoever.

My old spiritual teacher always told me that my only
chance to 'become enlightened" was to abandon
civilization and to live in the woods alone.

I never did that.

You may feel free to presume what that means,

Actually, there certainly is "intellectual enlightenment"
in a manner not too dissimilar to what some 17th and
18th century scientists/philosophers meant it.

But we are now living in the post factual era, so
we've lost access to that.

I'd say that there also really is something akin to
'spiritual enlightenment', but it is not anything that
most rational people would want.. or even deluded
people.. it's the 'enlightenment' of learning your
place in the "universe" which is a very iffy
business at best.

The problem is, that nobody actually understands
what 'spiritual' actually means, if anything.

If you can't even define your terms or intial
conditions properly, then you re rather 'hosed'.

And what if the 'spiritual game' actually belonged
to a 3rd party? What if it wasn't a human game
AT ALL?

That would make a lot of people very uncomfortable,
and worse than that, angry and unstable.

Which is what happens when I hint at it on ATS..

If nobody actually wants your 'product', then perhaps
it's better to just keep it to oneself.

I am starting to wonder if the triangular nature has something to do with magnetic skyrmions and their behaviour towards a triangular lattice. If it ‘curls’ you’d have something like a polygonal ball. If you only view one segment or get an indendation... well you get my drift ...

All theories are good!

Finding ways to test them in this case is DIFFICULT to say the least.

From my personal experience, the BTUFO I countered shifted into a
variety of forms.. and frankly from my view it could have
shifted to the form of a ham sandwich if it had wanted to.

That's probably not meshing with your point of view.. but of course
'your BTUFO' might have been more nuts and bolts than the one
that came my way.

That said, it's seeming to me that at least some of these BTUFO,
such as the ones doing the cattle mutilations have more "substance"
than some do.. but I'm still far from convinced that they are
constructed from matter as we'd know it.. possibly of something
resembling matter.

As what is abducting cattle, at least sometimes, seems to be
afraid of iron molecules, like (supposedly) a "faerie" would,
it would be easy to surmise that whatever 'faeries" really
are.. that they might be one and the same phenomenon
as these 'craft'.

But i'm hardly ready to just say "it's faeries" to anything that
I don't understand... I"d rather the (weak) evidence led
to something else.. but it doesn't seem to.

I hardly know how to distill 2000+ years of interactions
between various cultures in the world, up to the present
day, with 'faeries' or their equivalents.

I could give you lists of books to read.. it would take you
months to get through them.

Just for purposes of discussion..

lets say that "faeries" are some sort of "information entity"
that can manipulate the classical world as if by 'magic',
they can transform into any creature or object.. from
a ham sandwich to an officer on a police motorcycle
who then talks to you.. or potentially they ARE the
BTUFO.

They come in good and evil varieties..but even the nice
ones screw with you.

They are supposedly vulnerable to 'cold iron'.

"Faerie sightings" are every bit as credible, with
physical evidence, as any 'UFO" sighting.

Nobody wants to talk about them.. as it makes one
into a laughing stock.

I'm not proposing that 'faeries' are necessarily the
base form.. but rather that whatever has been
living with us for these thousands of years,
whatever that is... it ALSO plays at being 'faeries'
at various times.. up to the modern day.

I view 'faeries' as part of the "machine intelligence'.

I guess I will close this response with a genereral
statement..

I don't find the boundaries between organic and machine
to be that compelling... between 'artificial' and 'natural'
to be that compelling.. between 'mythological' and
apparently (or actually) 'nuts and bolts" to be that
compelling..

throw enough time at almost anything... let it evolve..
and what starts out mundane, comes to appear as
"magic".

I don't consider myself a 'spiritual person'.

I know that sounds weird, as I consider myself a 'shaman'.

But there certainly is information...

Information which accumulates at various points...

I'm just saying that the laws of physics, both known and unknown
and information theory, should be up to explaining most things.

There's no good reason to become 'religious' in my view.. it's
just a form of intellectual laziness.

Now that said, a deep reverence for truth and beauty and life..
and kindness.. and a desire to help...
