I think so too, although I think it is imperative that the people making inroads into that franchise, use practical effects wherever possible. CGI segments can be very impressive, when done right, but there is no replacement possible for the sort of facial prosthetics genius that is the mandibular portion of a Predators face! It has to look like a solid object, not some texture layed over a wireframe.
