They're not investigating to find a crime. Jesus you guys act like these folks are making up rules out in the parking lot before they go into court. They are following the law. You can think they're not but this isn't a game and these guys are not the armchair litigators this forum is full of. It''s too funny that you all think they're just breaking laws and nobody is doing a thing about it. and that stunningly y'all think you know more than them. Looking up codes and subsets on government websites to prove you do...lol... as if you have the background to interpret them.
These guys are the best of the best you can't compete with them. (disclaimer in this post you and you guys isn't you personally in particular no offense intended to you )

Telling the Judge they don't need to see the scope memo is a problem. That's not a leak issue. Why wouldn't he want the Judge to see the memo?
They may not want him to see the memo because it would expose the direction of the investigation and they don't trust it won't be leaked.
Now they agreed to it and so did the judge if it were sealed for the judge only.

You can't keep it from the judge, it's like telling the judge you don't need to show you had a warrant. The fact you are defending that is disgusting. It can't be leaked, it can be shown closed doors with only the Judge seeing it.
You throwing away not only your rights, but mine as well to embarrass Trump is disgusting.

Mueller wanted the Judge to not see it at all. The Judge said it can be closed doors where it will remain a secret and Mueller still wanted to keep the Judge from seeing it.
Does Manafort want to know about the case ... I don't know, does someone who is accused of a crime have a right to know whether their rights as an American citizen were trampled? If your rights were violated do you think you deserve to know that?

No, he's not. There is no leak issue here, none, zero. He tried telling the Judge he didn't have clearance .. and the Judge set him straight.
Mueller doesn't want the Judge to see whether the investigation is legal.

Because Muellers doing stuff outside the official scope. The Russian company he indicted has also decided to fight th echarges and as such will be able to get access to th escope letter as well. Rosenstein will have to be stripped of his power(but keep his job) to do this.

The comey memo was leaked minutes after released.

Manafort’s attorney Kevin Downing told the court he was convinced there are a series of hard copy records or notes Rosenstein kept which document the steps he or others took before appointing special counsel.
“Before deciding the motion, all we ask is that the government provide a written record of those activities. Rosenstein had a process to determine if there was a conflict, which gave rise to Special Counsel,” the attorney said.
“I know him,” Downing said of Rosenstein, which who he worked with for five years at the Justice Department. “He’s a stickler for written records and those records may show if he violated the regulations appointing a special counsel.”
