I am a musician lacking inspiration...

I went on a musical journey and summarised it in these playlists I made on my Soundcloud account.

As it's all over for me now, I lack inspiration but I have quite a wide window of opportunity too.

The display picture is something I drew as a kid. It's Kermit. I'm known currently as Kermit Numba 1.

I like attention so if you have time to listen to my music you'd make me happy... but it's not about that. I don't write music for that reason.

Some of it is 'hacking' music, some of it tells a story, and the final tracks I wrote were to ease up and chill out. That's where I'm at, at the moment!

In chronological order it goes:

Some of the most successful musicians of our time find their muse in the most unforgettable places, on a beach, in a bar, climbing a mountain, in bed with a lover. Perhaps you need to widen your horizons just a bit. Try to picture what really moves your soul.

I'm quite inspired by Aphex Twin's Ambient collection from the 90's.



It's beautiful to me. I discovered it around the same time as The Pixies when I was a kid, listening to the album while travelling with my parents overseas and seeing an 'alien' landscape.

I think too many producers nowadays concentrate on synthesizers and sounds and plugins and DAW's, etc., but do not spend any time studying music composition, chord progressions, changes, basslines, melodies, etc.

In contrast, people in the past only studied music and composition, etc. (usually on only one instrument they mastered) and spent zero time studying DAW's and synthesis, etc.

Anyway the result I think is that music is getting less musical and monotonous.

There is no music without music.

I like Character Building because it had some cool changes.
