Was there a trial? I mean other than in the MSM. If so, I missed it.

How about guilt first, then impeachment? In well over a year of virtually constant search, no shred of evidence has been found that is even remotely raising to the level of high crime and misdemeanor.

I don't know anything about this man. What do you know about him?

How do most billionaires get rich? They gain wealth by making it off of others. They step on heads to get to the top. It is the way our society is structured. The person who works on a factory line hardly steps on anyone's head to get ahead.

Gaining wealth by working or owning an honest business usually won't get you to billionaire status. The practice of gaining wealth at the expense of others is not limited to rich people either, I know many people who have done that over the years.

In todays world you could be a millionaire without hurting others to gain that wealth, but not much chance of a billionaire gaining money that way.

Well technically, he was not elected with the majority of the vote... If you listen to the losing side.

Which is true enough, so far as it goes...which isn't far enough, obviously.

She who I'll never name again won the popular vote nationwide, which, due to the foresight of the writers of the Constitution, means absolutely nothing. But that's not what the losing side would have you believe, or some of them, anyway. That little thing called the electoral college kept us from having a tyranny of the California/New York voters.

We are talking Hillary 28% Trump 27% and "did NOT vote for either" 44%, so it is hard to suggest any popular vote victory actually mattered in the least.

I am aware. That hasn't stopped many from suggesting that, somehow or other, Clinton--I'm so tired of that name--should be President.

You don't get to the pinnacle of American politics by being a nice guy/gal, at least not all the time.

The Kennedy's, John and Bobby, were said to be pricks quite often. Little Eddie was a cipher from the get go...only delusions of Camelot kept him in the public eye.

Johnson was a foul mouthed, and coming from me that's sayin' somethin', asshole at the best of times according to some.

Even Lincoln was, by our standards, something of a bigot. Andrew Jackson, anyone? Trail of Tears--not much more need be said.

So, being a nice guy, while useful at times, is more than counter-balanced by being assholeish. I can't really think of an American President that is an exception to that...not right off the cuff, any how.

He'd be about the only one.

He certainly seems that he might be an exception to the asshole rule of politics...

So my question is, what law is this guy talking about? What law is Trump guilty of breaking that would be impeachable?

California law. They write their own regardless of actual Federal Laws.
Kick em out of the Union
Let em turn sniveling to Mehico

Why would they "turn sniveling" anywhere? They have the highest GDP in the nation. I think they'd do just fine.

Not if they "import" 1/2 of Mexico

He's trying to be Fox news. Trump has not been indicted, he's being investigated but that doesn't mean he did anything wrong nor does it mean "he didn't do wrong". Pushing narrative for the uninformed. The left's answer to the "there is no evidence" misinformation from the right.

Yes, states write their own laws... It is one of the defining features of the US.

Actually it's not. One of the actual defining features is that States have some powers and the Federal government has other powers and neither can write any law infringing on the power of the other.

Or, in other words, "show me on the doll where the bad Cheeto man hurt you".

The next six years are going to be comedy gold.

I thought the impeachment process is the trial, where the House is the Jury and a SCOTUS judge oversees the whole shebang.

Obviously you dont. Not every federal law supersedes state law. Otherwise every murder would be a federal crime.

Point of Order: Federal Law is supposed to overrule State laws, ie the Supremacy Clause.

Of course, the States were supposed to have input into what became Federal law through the Senate, but the 17th Amendment torpedoed that idea.

It means his behavior embarrasses us as a country. He doesn't act like a decent adult person.
He has had manners. he's impo!ite, crude, selfish and self absorbed. Presidential puts country first not popularity.

It means he embarrasses YOU...I don't think you speak for the country, nor do you speak for other countries that he seems to be doing rather well with, better than Obama.

Well if all someone has to hang on to is a measly 28% of the so called popular vote, that is all they have. This is why the midterm is so emotional important to the left... This is why impeachment no matter how good or bad Trump is, is so important.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Investigation/Proof of some form of wrong doing is what I should have said... In essence, a trial, at which point an impeachment proceeding would occur. Or something of that sort.
