ATS Members: Post Your Most Embarrasing, or Worst Moments on ATS

February, 2014... thanks to a friendly wager with another member of ATS Staff I had to endure the ignaminious spectacle of sporting a Go Seahawks avatar for a month following Denver crapping the bed against them in the Super Bowl.

Tons, I pretty much grew up here, but it's a sign of growth and learning, so it's all good in the end! I can't remember much specific but this thread made me smile because I was thinking about this exact topic a few weeks ago.

That was a horrible embarrassment of a game! The pizza had just arrived and then there was that first snap. It was all over from there lol.

Back in the day I was participating in a gun discussion. I (cockily) asserted what knowledge a certain poster had that involved them being behind a firearm pointed at someone else under duress.

Turns out the poster was an Irish LEO that has not only provided tons of useful information but also most certainly knows exactly what it's like being behind a firearm and having it pointed at someone else.

Ahhhh, ignorance was bliss!

My most embarrassing moment of ATS, its my longest relationship ever and its with an internet conspiracy forum. Coming up 13yrs..

My proudest moment at ATS - I've been here 13yrs and you haven't been able to get rid of me yet..MWAHAHHAHA!

Usually when I post a photo , because then I think it's Facebook and post ten songs and chit-chat messages with it.

Mine wasn't that long ago.
The day I found out about my husbands years of infidelity and deception, I think I lost my mind. The period of two weeks after that is all kind of a gray blur in my memory,though it was only 4 months ago. More revelations came out in time as he was ready to disclose worse and worse, but it was the first shock that knocked off all my discernment and I posted here a rant on it all- with all it's innappropriate-for-public details.
It was rightly taken down by staff, and I was embarrassed that I did that. I just didn't have anyone else to talk to in that moment and it was kind of the 9/11 of my life.

I've only started cruising by here a bit lately, still too embarrassed to take part in discussion.

Sending a PM to the wrong member about being Post Banned.

They completely freaked out, until I realized my mistake and had to explain to them that they got the PM by mistake.



Removing the wrong post. That's ALWAYS embarrassing.



One of my cats made a post on here. NO idea how he did it....but he did. Good thing was that I was able to edit the post from the gibberish of him walking across the keyboard before the time was up (this was back in 2012).

If I must adhere to having an "embarrassing moment on ATS" then it would be all those lefty posts I made from years ago when I was young and stupid.

I'm embarrassed for us when I read the Mudpit.

Way back in the day I read the most horrifying post on ATS and posted my reply to the OP declaring my utter horror and disbelief.

The OP replied and advised me to look at the forum that the OP was posted in. I reacted once more with horror and disbelief and waited. Then I took the time to look at the forum the OP was posted in. Short Stories. Even worse. OP was a Mod! It's a conspiracy I tell you...!

Sounds like that scene in Saving Private Ryan where they find the wrong James Ryan and he doesn't believe his kid brothers haven't been killed.

I wanted my brothers.
Posting along - trying to make people laugh.
And then you got your brothers.
Perhaps what I prayed for came under the wrong circumstance.
Not to make light of the situation, because it wasn't funny at all.
But if they really hated me they would have kicked me out long time ago.
That would have killed me.

Instead I felt their brotherhood.
They really wanted to keep me.
I just wanted to say thank you.
