I think that you yourself are plagued with vanity. You are vain enough to think that you have a special relationship with the creator of the universe and you are vain enough to think that your truth is the absolute truth. Live and let live. Don't use your energy to push your truth onto others. Use this energy to develop the truth that is inside you, there is always room for development for everyone. If someone thinks that he/she is already perfect and knows the absolute truth of everything, then I think that vanity is again to blame here. You can change a lot in the world if you change yourself, but you change very little when you try to change others around you.
“And with us, indeed, who have had handed down from our forefathers the worship of the God who made all things, and also the mystery of the books which are able to deceive, he will not prevail; but with those from amongst the Gentiles who have the polytheistic fancy bred in them, and who know not the falsehoods of the Scriptures, he will prevail much.

Love your spirit eitea. Your words shine with light whereas spiritoftruth111 expels darkness.
Why is that?
Perhaps spiritoftruth111 needs to first listen to one of the early Christian Church Fathers - Clement I in Clementine Homilies,..
“And with us, indeed, who have had handed down from our forefathers the worship of the God who made all things, and also the mystery of the books which are able to deceive, he will not prevail; but with those from amongst the Gentiles who have the polytheistic fancy bred in them, and who know not the falsehoods of the Scriptures, he will prevail much.
spiritoftruth111 needs to put down his books and start thinking because he doesn't recognise the scriptures contain falsehoods. These falsehoods hide deeper symbolic meanings.
Why is there life? Is it a test that we have to pass? Why?
Jewish Kabbalah already explains why. They state every spirit was created in a fully enlightened state, But have to experience all the the dualities in the universe within their sensations before they awaken.
To learn all that which is learn-able.
One cannot learn the full meaning of forgiveness until their whole world is taken from them. etc
So if a person is not ready to awaken they should not be forced to follow religion using fear as a stick .
It does them an injustice.
Love and peace.

If you prefer to hide behind your book then I counter with a Matthew 6:1...
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven".
Our aim should be to help each other. I am not trying to deter you from Christianity. I am trying to ignite your passion to find a greater truth within Christianity. And worrying about the end times in which Paul was certain would occur his lifetime is a waste of life. We all face an end time when we die of old age or sickness.
Instead drowning in darkness. Aim for the light.
Love and Peace,

The truth is both the justification of salvation and condemnation, according to how a person responds to the truth so shall they be measured and weighed.

So often I realize that there are multiple possibilities and when it comes to the modern versions of Evangelical Christianity I admit I just don't understand the theory.
I have a lot of questions that don't seem to garner good answers.
I honestly wish I could find actual answers but at this point I'm not really expecting anyone to have a clue.
Christianity has proven to be one of the most challenging ideas to wrap my mind around. I like that people want to be nice and if this belief system is what it takes to get people to treat others at least half way decent than I like that but I just have a nagging suspicion none of them really understand how any of this even works, lol.
To speak of the Christian doctrine as a secret system is altogether absurd. But that there should be certain doctrines, not made known to the multitude, which are after the exoteric ones having been taught, is not a peculiarity of Christianity alone, but also of philosophic systems, in which certain truths are exoteric and others are esoteric. Some of the heroes of Pythagoras were content with his ipse dixit; while others were taught in secret those doctrines which were not deemed fit to be communicated to the profane and insufficiently prepared ears. Moreover, all the mysteries that are celebrated everywhere throughout Greece and the barbarous countries, although held in secret, have no discredit thrown upon them, so that it is in vain he endeavors to calumniate the secret doctrines of Christianity, seeing that he does not correctly understand its nature”. (Origen, Contra Celsum)
Still never answered my question..
but then again when you said God allows Satan, I guess that is an answer to the trick.
" Those who fear the dark, never have seen what the light can do."
What your option of Lucifer, the Devil, the bad guy, who slanders god and place himself above the almighty?
