I'm 40 and should probably spend my time doing something constructive.

Judging from your OP, you should as well.

i doubt sparks were depicted like that back then

How do you know?

You doubt and that doesn't mean anything because neither of us were alive when whatever of that happened.

He was known for being like this and why don't we see other people from that same time also doing similar pictures of the same events? I'm sure he wasn't the only one around that could draw

Why let him do and go into history and not others

I know there are lots of things we are being lied to but i don't think this is one of them

It is possible to be fireworks, watch these videos. Those people with the sword might even be doing a type of sparkler with steel wool as see in one of the videos I posted below. The effects of both the wheel firework and the steel wool are both magnificent.

I would very much like to see them, why don't you save them and post them here? could you send a private link to it otherwise?

I think it would be best to save them and then add them here for every one else to see

You know what is a big problem?

You keep looking at this with your own eyes and current understanding of the world, you don't reach back and forget all you know right now and look at the world at the time with the eyes and understanding they had back then, pretty sure that would make you see things in a different way

You think they believed a storm and fire were caused by gods instead of what they really are? They looked at it from a different mind, they didn't know better. You look at this from our time, not from theirs, they had completely different ways of thinking we can't understand, same as they would not understand us at all

Not what i meant, sorry.

What i mean is, you look at the world from back then, with your current point of view, so you find it hard to see why they would think something is magical and because you have more knowledge and know about technology you see that some of the things they witnessed fit current technology as you know it.

In my opinion is this the wrong way to look at the past, you can't try to understand the past if you look at it from your current time, then you don't understand it, you know it exists but you transform it to fit your current knowledge of how things work and at that moment the research has been compromised.

If you wanted to know why they did something you should never compare it to the things you know now. You need to forget and think the same way they did, then you may be able to see why and how they looked at the world in the way they did

What i'm trying to say is, you may be reinterpreting what they thought they saw and you find similarities to our modern world but maybe this is a coincidence and they were just looking at the world they knew and finding magic on it and drawing it as their imagination allowed, because art has always been like this

No i'm not, at all, you are not saying anything but repeating yourself on a wrong assumption of what i said before

I said, you need to look at how they looked at the world back then, without letting your current knowledge and point of view affect the research.

You are not doing that

This has nothing to do with mainstream view, it has to do with your own point of view
