The President's lead attorney representing him in the Bob Mueller Special Counsel investigation into Russia affecting the 2016 Presidential election, is former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Today, Mr. Giuliani says that Bob Mueller has REJECTED the option for President Trump to provide WRITTEN responses to the 52 questions that were leaked by somebody, earlier this week.

Mueller is asking for an IN-PERSON interrogation of President Trump that can last up to 12 hours. Rudy Giuliani has told Special Counsel Mueller that the President will appear in person, if the broad questions that start with "What were you thinking", or "How Did You Feel", are removed. Twenty five questions maximum... 3 hours maximum.

Because Mueller is on a mission to hurt this President, the chances that he will agree to the terms Giuliani is laying out, are not good. In fact, Giuliani himself said this evening that there's a 50/50 chance that S.C. Mueller will need to issue a Subpoena for President Trump to appear before him, for interrogation.

But, according to the U.S. Constitution, a sitting President can ignore subpoenas:

Subpoenas are a part of the standard legal machinery in the U.S. court system. What all this means is that President Trump can ignore them, because he has not been convicted in an impeachment trial. Bob Mueller can issue all the subpoenas he wants, and the president can ignore every one.

Alternate View: Only the Supreme Court can Decide if a President must comply with a "Subpoena to Appear".

IMO, If Special Counsel Mueller doesn't accept the terms that Giuliani/Trump are offering for an in-person interview, its unlikely that he will issue a worthless subpoena.

Instead, he will close the investigation and issue a report that recommends President Trump to be Impeached, or clearing him of Colluding with Russia to affect the 2016 election. (That was Mueller's original investigative mandate.)

You do realize Jay Sekulow (sp?) drafted the leaked questions based on information handed over to Team Trump by Team Mueller, correct?

And here is another gem, according to Mr. Rod Rosenstien
himself the President can not be indicted!

If a supoena is issued, and Trump ignores the supoena, it will likely be placed before the Supreme Court to decide.

No prior precedent has been set on this issue, so it is not certain that the SC would decide in Trump’s favor, thus setting, for appearances sake, that this and all future Presidents are “Above the Law”.

That would be a very problematic position.

This is just my opinion. This is not an endorsement nor is it a statement endorsed by ATS.

I have come to the conclusion that this is nothing more than an illegal attempt to unseat a sitting president. This is a coup d'ĂŠtat brought about by the leftists in power and behind the scenes in Washington DC.

We are no longer a nation of laws, there is no more equality under the law.

The US has become a Banana Republic.

And it's only going to get uglier.

Trump has been doing a pretty good job of ignoring the witch hunt against him and score as many goals as he can while everyone is busy biting his ankles.

That being said. They got their teeth in pretty good this time. I dare say maybe enough to take him down.

He had a good run. We can laugh about this after we get back to our regular scheduled programming soon enough.

Most people agree that those questions show how desperate Mueller is to trap the President in a Perjury charge. That's the old "Bill Clinton" play.

If he issues the subpoena, knowing it's an iffy proposition, that tells us he doesn't have enough on Trump to bring him down. That means he's desperate.

LOL..don't expect to see that video, or those words from Rosenstein, on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, NYT, WaPo, LATimes, Slate, HuffPuff or Vanity Stare.

Yeah but I thought everyone agreed on what you call a banana republic, in your country.

We pay our taxes and close our eyes to whatever the powers that be need to do. It's probably for the best.

At least here in Canada we can run a priminister indefinitely if we want to and call as many elections we need to get him in power.

Down there with your fixed 4 year and max 8... your just asking for a deep state. How the fu€k else do you keep a decent plan together without a government running behind a government to keep us devilish socialist out, and the commies...

Trump will be made am example of soon enough. I was rooting for him though.

Not this time it wouldn't be. Because Trump is currently being pursued by kangaroos to put it mildly.

Mueller himself has historically ignored "The Law" and abused all authority entrusted to him and he has used it against people politically many time in the past. Also, everyone associated with Mueller has followed his lead in abusing authority and ignoring the law for themselves and friends, while using the same laws against their opponents. Just like Comey has done so many times, and his henchmen inside the intel community on his and Mueller's behest.

The only people "above the law" that are actually harming national security right now are those people, not Trump.

Rush Limbaugh said exactly the same thing every day between when Trump was elected and sworn in. That the Deep State (which includes the MSM and several Republicans) will never stop trying to remove President Trump from office. Even if it ruins the entire nation, they will not cease in their efforts.

I'll be glad when President Trump goes on offense. In fact, I think he could fire Rosenstein right now, and let the #3 guy at the DOJ (Noel Francisco) redirect Mueller back to what he was hired for.

This how it would work: www.vox.com...

A good way to find out who is REALLY on President Trump's side, is to listen to who (in the MSM and Politics) is urging him to NOT sit down and answer broad "How Did You Feel" BS questions for Mueller.

Is Canada's news media more focused on FLUFF instead of serious news, like our media is here in the USA?

Listen to what Mark Levin says.

Clinton agreed to a subpoena by video.

None has been in front of a grand jury.

I learned earlier today that Bob Mueller personally delivered the Uranium, in the Uranium One deal. He was that involved. No wonder he sees the new sheriff (Trump) as a personal threat.

why wasn't this done with Clinton on the e-mail server?

Rothschild darling?

Are Trump and Rudy fighting the Rothschilds??

That would be odd considering Trump went to the West Wall and declared Jerusalem the capital of Isreal. This is how I know something isn't adding up. Jacob Rothschild is responsible for Isreal and Isreal is fully backed by that family. So if Trump is paying respects to them in this manner what else is really going on behind the scenes?
