Bill Cosby, Roman Polanski expelled from Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Board of Governors voted to expel actor Bill Cosby and director Roman Polanski, the organization announced Thursday. Both Cosby and Polanski have been convicted of sex crimes.

Aren't there a whole plethora of actors who've been outed recently?? Shouldn't they be next to get chopped??

They are trying to avoid being called racist without eating one of their own is my guess. Polanski was the easy target.

I understand your hesitance, but these rumors have been out there since probably Janice Dickinson back in the late 80s. Long before any Social Justice movement of the sort.

Hannibal Burress has been throwing that gauntlet down for years too, FWIW.

And just to clarify-- I do not condone rape in any way.

I just think sometimes things aren't what they seem, and people do lie for money and fame. It happens a lot.

The thing about the real monsters is that they never look the way you’d suspect them too; otherwise they’d rarely be able to prey on people for extended periods.
Some of the worst have always been “such quiet people”.

If they're going to clean house, they need to do a little better than just wiping off the kitchen counter.
