Israel has made multiple strikes against Syrian/Iranian targets in Syria. Why woule the Russians respond differently this time? The Russians and Israel get along fairly well. They're both pragmatists.

Oh I'm aware they have been busy.

I don't blame them one bit either.

Hopefully, there are no Russian assets in these bases, that would flip Russia's demeanor on this.

If Israel attacked a military base of a nation that has not attacked them, they are attacking Syria not Iran. In my opinion .
Just a threat is not enough .... I can not go blow up my neighbor`s house because he threatened me .

The Iranians and Russians are in Syria at the invitation of Syria, just as we are in Isreal at their invitation . That does not give Isreal the right to attack Syria`s guests because they want to.

We need to stay out of all of this, and if Isreal wants to play stupid games they should win stupid prizes without us doing a freaking thing about it. They and they alone are responsible for their actions.

Well, you're not a nation-state, so different rules apply. You also can't jail other people or take their money to spend on what you decide is the public good. Countries frequently do that sort of thing.

I don't think threats equate to an act of war. Countries get threatened all the time. Don't you think we threaten countries all the time. You never see them come back and bomb us though.

Countries attack each other over perceived threats all the time. So many times over so many years that back in the 15th century ol' Hugo Grotius at the Hague codified it in international law. Today the legal terms are "anticipatory self-defense" and "pre-emptive self-defense".

UPDATE: It wasn't Israel. It was the US/UK that struck Syria tonight. Iranian soldiers incinerated.

Ahh, local law vs country sovereignty is a bit different. You can't apply that thinking here, it doesn't fit.

Israel is taking the action any other country would be justified in doing. Israel often gets lots of rockets shot at it by these nutjobs. Iran has vowed to end the existence of Israel. That is a very serious threat.

Why are Iranian missiles in Syria? That is what is reportedly blown up and why it registered on the Richter scale.

Also nukes? Really? Come on guys. I know the MSM isnt trustworthy, but if a nuke of any yield was used it would be news everywhere. You cant hide that. And no one would want to. Doom porn is the medias bread and butter.

They scream that they are defending themselves all the time, while carrying out aggressive attacks on sovereign states that have, so far, showed great restraint, instead taking up the matter at the UN who always do absolutely nothing.

I saw the latest BS from Israel a few days ago, another satellite image with lines drawn and notation, claiming it to be a huge Iranian training base and that there are 80,000 Iranian forces and Iranian trained Shia militiamen in Syria. Of course, I could also take a satellite image of a random location in Israel, add some notes labelling buildings as being used for some nefarious purpose too, without any actual evidence being needed. See, Israel never gets asked for any evidence of their claims, they just get a free pass to go bomb things and claim victim status.

As for tactical nukes....one hitting the middle of Tel Aviv right now might actually help bring more peace to the region!

Most of isreals strikes, with the exception of just a few preimotive ones..... Are in response to aggression....

When you're surrounded by countries who have told you since your inception they want to wipe you off the map because of your religion.... And have indeed attacked them....you're gonna be at the ready perpetually

Iran are state sponsors of terrorism in Israel, they have been launching drones into Israel territory which is essentially a hostile act, you cannot then hide that in another country and lay claim that Israel are therefore attacking Syria, they are merely attacking the sites that are attacking them, which is defense.

And I agree with manbehindthemask, that is an anti Israel post, can you explain who Israel are constantly attacking (plural) and why you think they are doing this due to their perceived religious supremacy? I see plenty of people bagging the Jewish but very few Jews out there doing anything other than minding their business.

Point of note, I have never had a Jew knock on my door to sell me a religion, ive had plenty of others!

I have never seen a Jewish mandate to kill Muslims, and yet I have seen plenty of Muslims wanting to kill infidels.

If i were to summarize, Judaism seems to be the religion of peace, insomuch as how it acts, I have never read its scriptures.
