PC , it will outlast XBox and Playstation in terms graphical prowess and it's one tool for both jobs.
Games are cheaper too so you'll save in the long run.

Nah. I tried it but it just doesn't capture my attention. I've been playing Sea of Thieves when I do game, but I haven't been playing games much lately.

Can't help but think they weren't marketed in the best way really as I know quite a few people with small form factor pc's.

PC will always be superior in many avenues of gaming. But for consoles, I prefer Xbox. Mainly for the network as opposed to PlayStation's online community. Xbox live is huge and usually very reliable.

Anybody on ATS play The Division?

I gave up on Xbox, and later PS, when they started charging to play games online. Sure, paying for it comes with some perks but perks I never asked for nor wanted. PC ain't charging me!

I hear ya. But coming from someone who doesn't even own a PC, the thought of building a graphics-heavy computer from scratch doesn't appeal to my wallet.

I've actually been playing the division this week with some friends for the global event on pc. I must say they've made the game a lot better since release.

Dude just get a PNY GTX 1050 it with the six pin power cable and you will be just fine. Just go 1080p and be happy. No need for a 1080 ti unless you like the idea of being over powered.

Not overpowered but future proof for the next few years , it also offers the option of VR.

You could build a gaming PC that won't break the wallet. If you can afford a console, its accessories, games, etc, you can afford a gaming PC. Many people think you need to buy the most expensive gear to have a proper gaming PC which is not at all the case.

I wasn’t thinking VR but you are correct. And a PNY gtx 1050 TI is going to game as well as an xboxone. Not the one X though. I almost got a 1080 but decided against it because in two years something on par will be available for cheaper. But that is just my take.

I really wouldn’t go cheap. My Xbox one looks like crap now and it’s by far hit it’s limitations.

If you want to future proof you need at least a 1070. Video games are just getting more and more demanding each.

“But my 1050 can max out fallout 4 and Farcry3!”

Yea uh no one cares about games years ago. Try running a 1050 on ultra on a game from this month. I doubt you’re going to clear 30fps. Guaranteed that you’re not going to come close to running high for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2.

Going cheap is just going to cost you in the long run. Want something future proofed? You’re going to be paying $1200

I can hear them now too... “but I built my computer for $600 and I can play a three year old game just fine!”

I refuse to pay £50 for the latest titles so it's of little consequence to me. Also, I don't need to play a game on ultra to enjoy it...
