Sleep paralysis. It's common. Look it up OP.

I already said in my OP, there is *no* sleep paralysis involved.

I'm betting I'll make 10 more replies like this!

Here is a post of mine from last October!!

"It is oddly comforting and spooky at the same time to read all the similar accounts. Here's mine. I was sleeping like normal, I wake up to see a gigantic, we are talking 5 or 6 ft black spider above me, using the post of my bed to stand. I screamed and hid under the covers and then looked back up, woke up my husband and tried to come to grips with the feeling that I wasn't really asleep. The detail in which I remember the spider seems too real to be a dream, but who knows. It was not facing toward me, and it didn't move. It was gigantic, seriously the stuff of nightmares. I also had this feeling that it wasn't going to hurt me, (which was also weird) but I hate spiders so I was scared of it anyways."

That would have really freaked me out!!

Thankfully, my spider wasn't that scary looking, it was colored pastel blue with grey stripes.

Interesing to know your spider also isn't facing you like mine. Same size too.

Somehow, I have a theory that the lower part of my body turned into that 6 ft span spider which is why I never saw the head because I am the upper body and the head. It's crazy I know!

See a doctor.

You mean a shrink? Perhaps I might see one, if I get 10 more such dreams consecutively....or maybe move somewhere else!

I'm no expert in dreams but from what I understand spiders are a good omen.

Someone mentioned earlier that there is an up tick in supernatural activity? My bizarre night was earlier this week where I had dreams of cannibalistic babies (yeah, babies who ate people - wtf!) and and a dark tower of sorts. This tower was made up of 5 or 6 separate physical buildings but completed one whole virtual tower. There was something special about compartment 3 or 4.

Before anyone asks, yes I had a beer, no I'm not on meds and I was doing a 16x8 intermittent fast. My sanity has always been in question.

In many cultures spiders are considered good luck, and in no way demonic.

I've found that my dreams can be influenced by dust or pollen or spores that are floating in the air. Your subconscious could be sensing the pheromones or keratin from spider silk made at this time of the year. Dust in the environment is formed from all of these things.

Eating honey roasted peanuts once made me dream of being a bee.

Melatonin does not cause strange dreams. It's naturally produced by the body.

Yes, melatonin is naturally produced by the body but if you take a supplement, it most certainly can cause bad dreams. I had one of the scariest dreams I've ever had - like evil aliens invading the world & we are all going to die - one of the only times I have taken it. I know many others who have had similar experiences. I would imagine some people are just more sensitive to it. Just because you didn't have that experience, doesn't mean that others won't.

I live in a place where there's barely any trees nor flowers around. It's a poor, neglected neighborhood and local council doesn't give a damn to plant trees. Rules out pollen.

I also regularly vacuum clean my room so no cobwebs. Whole house barely has any cobwebs.

Indeed, in many Native American cultures, they are good things.

I've never had a reaction to melatonin, just some nice, restful sleep.

There are a few previously mentioned natural reasons for what you're seeing.

Having said that, in the paranormal world there are many reports of small (or large) scurrying dark figures, and of course shadow men as well. Speculation is they may be interdimensional critters of some sort. I've investigated the paranormal actively for years, and I've never seen a shadow man or anything while on investigations (did see/hear other stuff, but that's another story). But I'm not a sensitive in the least, and tend to block that kind of thing for the most part.

However in the past few years at home, both my wife and I have seen small dark shapes running along the baseboards and down hallways. I even felt one brush against my legs, both in the hallway and walking into the bedroom. Most of this happened shortly after the loss of several cats over a few year period,so I dunno.

I'd say it was a trick of the mind or eyes, but several times both the wife and I saw the same thing.

Regardless, it's always best to rule out natural causes and not just take it as paranormal. There are so many natural things that can cause all kinds of weird effects

Just a thought about your dream. You say you felt transformed into a spider & then you were wearing the same clothes. Spiders weave webs, build, etc. Is there something you are working on or building in your life? Even emotionally or spiritually? Maybe the spider does represent you & what you are working on/focusing on right now or maybe what you should be doing.

I was awake when I saw it though.

I'm indeed studying new programming languages and working to build a personal project or thesis out of it.

I've seen a human sized praying mantis.
It seemed more or less friendly.

The type of doctor I was referring to is called a psychologist. They don't prescribe pills. They just help people work through mental issues.

Your thinking of a psychiatrist.

My apologies, I was being somewhat facetious. Meds are important of course, but not to the extent that people are ingesting them and to the extent that doctors are prescribing them.

Some things just can't be explained by our puny mindsets and some things can't be cured simply by taking a pill.
edit on 28-4-2018 by BotheLumberJack because: (no reason given)

Lately, I've been seeing strange vision or ghost of what appears to be a giant spider in my room.

Sometimes, this creature appears to be a giant ant or wasp but most of the time, it's a giant spider 6 ft across!

I can only see it shortly after waking up and slowly disappears. Even stranger thing is I never saw its head. Only the abdomen and legs.

Having strange dreams too, seemingly connected to these visions. In the dream, I am roaming the streets as a woman, half naked, barefoot, and wearing a thin, almost see-through white clothing that appears to be made of spider-silk...And there's one man in the street that I am trying to seduce.

And then one more night, just before I slept, and for a short moment when I closed my eyes, I felt transformed into a giant spider. I could feel having 8 limbs and a large abdomen.

It was quite unsettling feeling, it felt so real. And I felt really worried, it might be happening and I could get caught in such monstrous appearance (or illusion).

I don't exactly know what this means but I've once heard people who had visions of hell also saw giant spiders in there.

It doesn't appear to be harming me though. It was never associated with nightmares nor sleep paralysis in my case. It's supposed to be quite frightening but suprisingly, isn't. The giant spider in fact, appears to be wearing clothing, and curiously, it's the same clothes I'm wearing!

Been watching Stranger Things?
