Want to know what it is like to be Palestinian? Here is a story - from 30 years ago - but still relevant today. Thirty years ago this month, as the first intifada was in its early months, and after Israel killed more than 120 Palestinians, an Israeli teenager was killed in the Palestinian town of Beita while on a hike with armed settlers. Two Palestinians were also killed that day. The young woman's death was instantly blamed on Palestinians, and in order to "send a message" the Israeli army demolished 14 Palestinian homes, killed another Palestinian teen and deported 6 Palestinians to Lebanon. Israeli politicians called for Beita to be wiped off the map, and the hands of those living there to be cut off. After a few days, it became apparent that the Israeli teen had not been killed by Palestinians but rather had been shot by one of the armed settlers, a man named Romam Aldubi. Romam, as it turns out, had earlier killed the unarmed brother of a Palestinian woman, who upon seeing Aldubi, threw a stone at him. She (pregnant at the time) was sentenced to prison while Aldubi - a man who had killed at least 2 people; caused 3 others to be killed; caused the demolition of 14 homes, the deportation of 6 and the uprooting of scores of olive and almond trees was... set free because he was deemed to have suffered enough. Last I heard, he is on the council of one of the settlements.

Agreed, the Israeli sellers in the west bank (who represent 4% of the Israeli society) represent the extremist side of the Israeli population, who believes that god grants them the right to act however they see fit. Some of them will resort to acts of terror in the name of their beliefs. Not unlike the Palestinian terrorists.
Both sides suffer from extremist minorities who drag the whole area into a never-ending conflict.
Though you described a specific incident, many similar cases can be found on both sides.

An Eye for an Eye leaves the world half blind.

Both sides of the debate should just settle down...but instead when progress starts, one side decides "now is a good time to attack..." and then there is retribution. Honestly after seeing some of the coverage I have seen...it seems to me that both the Palestinians and the Israelis need to settle down a bit. They act like it's a schoolyard fight, but there are lives in the balance.

The US gives more money in "aid" (read billions of dollars annually) to Israel than all other countries combined. Why is that? Netanyahu himself said that Israel invests that money directly back into US investments to make even more money. They also receive that money in a single lump sum which according to the info I read doesn't happen to any other nation that receives US aid. I'll let you google it and prove me wrong...

The Palestinian Authority paid terrorists and their families over $347 million last year, according to its own records

The difference is that Israel uses US funds to defend itself and gives the US some value for their buck in form of intelligence cooperation and promotion of US interests in the middle east. While the Palestinian leadership gives the money it gets as humanitarian aid to terrorists, not freedom fighters I mind you, but terrorists who butcher Israeli civilians. If you are interested in examples, there are many to be given.

The USA has no bother supporting Israel. It gives more financial aids to Israel than to all other countries combined. It also give more military aid and more political aid. It even stands up for them when they are in direct contention of international law. It directly supports one of the racist nations on earth.

Shame they dont stop the money going to Israel for supporting terrorism. A renegade nuclear state. A supporter of war crimes. Lets not forget the incidents in which they directly attacked the USA.
