I would have loved to be the President and received this gift from France. As a Marine it would be such an honor to have accepted that from our great ally. BW is a hallowed part of Our history.
A tree which symbolizes future growth and strength among other things is HUGE!

Many of you guys might not fully grasp how important this moment is. What it symbolizes.

For us Marines here on ATS we get it. This I believe, shows proof France is turning against those who do evil and aligning with our President.

Btw I’m a 1/5 Marine which makes this moment EVEN MORE important to me since my unit received the French Fourragere as part of our thank you from France for our service in BW. We in 1/5 along with the other 5th & 6th Marine Regiment units are alone throughout the Corps in wearing this uniform piece with PRIDE & HONOR! We earned the nickname Devil Dogs there. It was the Fighting Fifth’s first deployment. We are the most decorated unit in Marine Corps history. The level of symbolism here cannot go unnoticed. France is with us, as we are with them.

So why put the two fingers in the air and wave if we just don't care?

Don't get me wrong it's noble to be a musketeer and France has done alot for the US and Europe.
