At least two of the memos that former FBI Director James Comey gave to a friend outside of the government contained information that officials now consider classified, according to people familiar with the matter, prompting a review by the Justice Department’s internal watchdog.
Of those two memos, Mr. Comey himself redacted elements of one that he knew to be classified to protect secrets before he handed the documents over to his friend. He determined at the time that another memo contained no classified information,...
Some of the Comey memos contained classified information. Intentionally leaking classified information is a big no no. The referral we sent to DOJ regarding Comey has been buttressed.

The Justice Department inspector general is now conducting an investigation into classification issues related to the Comey memos, according to a person familiar with the matter. Mr. Comey has said he considered the memos personal rather than government documents. He has told Congress that he wrote them and authorized their release to the media “as a private citizen.”

Yeah, but what was his intent lol?
Oh yeah, his intent was to leak classified material.
He subsequently leaked those memos with the explicit purpose of triggering a special counsel, who was none other than his friend and mentor Robert Mueller.
Experts said that his actions exposed him to potential legal ramifications.
Now, sources familiar with told The Wall Street Journal that Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been investigating the leak.

Just about every word he leaked showed him to be the weasel he said he wasn't.
A lot of what he was communicating to "the team" sounded an awful lot like he was ensuring the hold he had on his position. "I'm in for the long haul guys our deep state hold of the FBI is secure.
The dumb orange goober don't even know he's got. The place settings were lovely though I must say and the wine superb."
I wonder if his book tour is turning out as Grand as he dreamt it?

Well then I guess they had better open an investigation into Nunes and the Republicans on the HPSCI leaking the memos to the press within an hour of getting their hands on them.
