Even more bizarre, why Pittsburgh? I'd think this would be much more of a concern in cities with more history of rioting for political tantrum reasons, like Seattle, Portland, Berkley, Philly, Detroit, etc... Pittsburgh proper may not have voted for Trump, but my inlaws live there and don't seem to indicate that he's overly reviled in Pittsburgh.

What's the setup here?

704 pounds. not tons.

www.wgal.com...

UPDATE: The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says more explosives were stolen than first thought. Investigators took a full inventory and discovered an additional case of dynamite was missing, bringing the total amount stolen to 704 pounds. The previous estimate was 640 pounds.

Let's see. What point am I trying to get across in the original post? Just maybe those are the points I'm trying to get across.

I'm human, I sometimes exaggerate. Are you implying that 704 pounds is not a lot of explosives?

I'm saying you exaggerated the truth. 740 # is a lot of explosives. You didn't have to exaggerate the amount to make people realize the connection between the 2 stories. I wouldn't want to be around even 5 pounds of tnt when it went off. State truth and fact here or you will get called out on your deceptions.

I THINK Tim mcveigh used something like 2000 kgs of ammonium nitrate.

290 kg's can bring down a large building.
The typical rule of thumb is .5 kg's / ton of powder for what you want to blast.
I'm talking mining factors here.
So that's using drill holes at a depth of 3.5 meters in a 6 hole x 6 hole blast pattern.
The usual load is around 18-25 kg's of powder.
That is enough to blast a hole 4 meters deep by 5 across and 5 high of solid rock.

Deception was never my intention, friend. I will consider this point and integrate it into future posts.

This is what the police and FBI said to the people who reported on the kid that shot up the last school I guess and then did nothing about it. Yup. That works.

Mistakes happen even the most tragic of ones. What happened was a mistake on different forms of law enforcement and I hope they learned a lesson and come up with way to not let that happen again.

Sounds like they are setting the stage for a FF and will run the line that they had intel it might happen. Sounds like a set up to me.

Funny though, they cant seem to investigate who handled the ex's last, when, where, who, how, surveillance footage, documents, product expertise, access to the storage, transportation of the stuff, etc and arrest em before it happens. .... but then there is no terror then is there?

Another possible data point.

www.fema.gov...

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will evaluate a biennial emergency preparedness exercise at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. The exercise will occur during the week of April 16th to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Maryland to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.

I usually don't put a lot of credence in this sort of thread. But you got my attention with this post.

I'm only about 15 miles from Peach Bottom.
I'm close enough to hear their monthly siren test. I get a phone call each time they have a siren test that is out of band with the other tests. But I have not heard of this FEMA thing at all. Has me wondering why I haven't heard of it.

Watch 4/20 as well. Hitler's birthday, Columbine Massacre, and Deepwater Horizon explosion... the next two days are historically crappy dates.

I find 4/20 to be a wonderful day.

In spite of the days history...

Very good catch OP, I hope the authorities are smart enough to catch on to this and follow any leads just in case. I'm not much for doom porn, but there are some pretty straightforward facts here and that is alot of explosives to go missing. There is enough there to do some pretty devastating damage.

Once again, good catch and thanks for the heads up.

If there is an attack, whoever the TV's blame, the opposite will be the instigator.

Refer Syrian gas attacks for precedent set vis-a-vis social engineering.
