This is what he was carrying.

A crappy knife designed to look intimidating and sold by retailers with no care for the consequences.

A crackdown on crappy knives and those who profit from their sale is long overdue.

The knife was in its sheath and in a backpack.
He was sentenced to six months in prison for possession of a knife.
I do not know how trustworthy the source is but the article sounds tongue in cheek to me, that could just be my perspective though.

Good they got that 'assault knife' off the streets. Who knows how many innocent babies could have been harmed by such a frightening weapon.

Cool that civilians helped out the cops.
