I don't think we need to hang around in Iraq until they have a military capable of defending against their neighbours

That is the dumbist statment I have heard from Rumsfeld assuming a miracle happens and Iraq becomes a stable democracy Iraq will need US and allied troops to deter its nutty neighbors from invading the countrie.

Look at post war Japan the econmy was rebulit and allied troops remained in the country while the japanese self defence force was created. Bush and his cronies are sending Iraq down the road of disater with there quick fixs.
