It's not remotely ethical for a journalist to cover and comment on a news story without disclosing potential conflicts of interest.

But Hannity is not a news journalist, he's an opinion journalist.

“I'm a journalist,” he said. “But I'm an advocacy journalist or an opinion journalist.”

I think Hannity should sue Cohen for slander. For telling a lie which will damage his (Hannity's) reputation.

Oh this is priceless.

Did George Stephanopolis disclose that he
had conflicts of interest in covering James Comey?

Why, is it wrong or bad to own real estate?

He doesn't see too worried about it...

No , Everyone Needs a " Mouthpiece " from time to Time . Just the Fact of How he was Identified as a Client of Cohen in the News should send up a Red Flag of Political Manipulation by the MSM .

What political manipulation? This is what happened:
1. Cohens attorneys say that Cohen had additional clients, contrary to the prosecutors assertion that Trump was the only client and that documents relating to them shouldn't be handed over to prosecutors.
2. The judge agrees and asks Cohen to hand over a list of his clients.
3. Cohen names one client, but says he has a third client who is a public figure and wants to remain anonymous.
4. The judge says a complete list of clients who aren't Trump needs to be provided so the taint team can properly filter documents.
5. Cohen says Hannity is his third client.

There's no political/media manipulation there.

Unethical? Yes. Illegal? As far as I can tell, it doesn't seem that way.

More like Saul Goodman.

I bet Hannity wasn't too happy to hear Cohen had records and maybe tapes, of their communications.

Now the Feds have his private business.

I don't know. Isn't he the 20/20 guy? Is that journalism? I thought it was "true crime."

But if he calls himself a journalist and there was a legitimate conflict of interest not disclosed along with his coverage of Comey, he should be looking for a new job, IMO.

Now the Feds have his private business.

That's what's amusing. If Hannity is a client, his stuff would be protected. If he isn't...

So Hannity first says "No way am I a client." Then, "Well sort of, but not really."

Hannity can't have it both ways, but either way his dirty laundry is going to leak.

Yes.I do remember something going around about that...wasn't it around the same time as Bill O'Reilly ?

And didn't Hannity lose sponsors or something around the same time ?
I may be getting that part wrong....but something dodgy happened

I know it went away quickly.

However, I personally do not think Hannity would have an affair.

It is reasonable to suggest or question whether Hannity may be a paid propaganda mouthpiece for the president of the United States.

That's a reasonable question, but there's ample evidence that it was a reasonable question before today as well. The bigger question is: Is that illegal? I don't know the answer to that.

Neither do I and at this point I doubt anything illegal has taken place.

Since Hannity didn't pay Cohen anything for the occasional advice, nothing to see here. Even if he did pay him for advice, nothing to see here.

But it's always nice seeing how easily distracted MSM and Democrats are from learning how to WIN.

You realize it was COHEN who said Hannity was his client, right? Not the "leftists" and not Hillary or Obama, it was Trump's personal lawyer making that claim and bringing him in.

And, if Hannity had nothing to see here, why was this some "rush to the court of appeals if revealed" problem if disclosed?

"Nothing to see here, just the guy who is on the TV every night talking about how the FBI is corrupt, that Robert Mueller is corrupt, is one of TWO people ever to have used Trump's personal "fixer" - but yeah, it's all nothing.

I do wish we'd learn how to win, all this "winning" is killing the country.

Know who isn't yawning? Trump. He's terrified, and thus I suspect there is a reason for him to be terrified.

Too bad Cohen didn't get an immunity deal like mills did.

I guess you are saying we don't need lawyers anymore?

Great! They cost too much anyway.

Nothing to hide, nothing to fear!
