Hey. Lately, I've been interested in past life regression. I was wondering if there was any way I could do it at home. (preferably free). If you guys know of any hypnosis MP3s/scripts or any other method of past life regression, I would really appreciate it if you told me... Thanks.

C'mon people! 50 views and no responses? Alright, fine. I found an interesting piece of software called, orginally enough, Past Life Regression. astralware.com sells it for $15... I'm trying to determine if its worth it... well, I'll let you know if I find anything out... Please though, if you have an alternative, let me know. Thank you.

I want to do this also. Its crazy but I've always been faascinated with Caesar Augustus or Gaius Octavius or Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus. I don't know why, maybe I am autistic or something? I suspect I may have been him in a past life.

A medium or spiritualist might be able to help you.....I was given some info on my 'past life' in a seance once, but how accurate or truthful the info was I could not say.....you might look for a hypnotist to regress you....they sometimes advertise in the yellow pages.

In the Seth series of books Jane Roberts talks about reincarnation and life after death. Seth believed that time and space are basically illusions. Consistent with this view, Seth argues not only that each person lives several lives (in what only appear to be different time periods) in physical reality simultaneously, but also that only parts of each person incarnate (appear in physical reality). This last argument is part of Seth's view that man is a multi-dimensional entity simultaneously alive in many contexts.

"Nothing exists - neither rock, mineral, plant, animal or air - that is not filled with consciousness of its own kind. So you stand amid a constant vital commotion, a gestalt of aware energy, and you are yourselves physically composed of conscious cells that carry within themselves the realization of their own identity, that cooperate willingly to form the corporeal structure that is your physical body", Seth/Jane Roberts.

It would seem that all of the audio available on the internet for past life regression comes at a fee. This is something I did consider at one point but I just couldn't trust. I guess the same could be said for using a hypnotherapist, only you can see them and judge for yourself - whereas with this 'online stuff' you don't get the chance to see before taking out your credit card.

I've actually found a very good hypnotherapist, and I'm finding it very useful for some of my problems that I have. Past life regression was suggested to me after I explained one of my problems. I'm still a bit sceptical about the whole thing so I really cannot say whether this stuff works or not. But, I will be sure to keep you all informed when I do have it done.

It was woman who had founded a nearby college. She died about 30 years before I was born.....and I had expressed the desire to attend that school from the time I was in grade school. I did go to school there, and loved every minute of it! But....

It was in my junior year there that I was 'given' the information about my past life.....but in my senior year I actually saw what I believed to be her ghost....so I couldn't be her reincarnation if her ghost was still earth bound!--Right?? One weird thing I found out later....my name now is exactly what her mother's maiden name was! So, while I don't think the seance was 'dead on'..... there might be some connection to that person.

I work with past life regressionists and I know that there are ways in which you can do the regression yourself.

It will help if you practice meditation. If you have never done any meditation it may take awhile before you see any results in trying to regress yourself.

Do you meditate?

I medatate a bit... I'm not all that good at it though. I went ahead and tried the software... it didnt work too well. I got several vauge images of me in a past life, but it seemed as though I was only seeing what I wanted to see... my mind wasnt clear before I did it. I'm going to try it again though. Could you please tell me some of the ways you can regress yourself? Thanks.

Keep practicing the meditation - and you are right about having your mind clear.

I am not familiar with the soft ware you mentioned, but I do know that there are lots of audio tapes out there that can help led a person through a regression.

It's really hard to differentiate between seeing what you want to see and seeing scenes from a true past life. It often happens that there is no way to prove the scenes from a past life are real. In some cases a person can actually look up who they used to be. Sometimes there are records to help substantiate a past life regression vision. Most often there are not.

I can get you some more detailed info, but in all that I have experienced it comes down to this: if you get some sort of info and it really makes sense to you - use it. If it helps the puzzle peices fall into place or makes you feel better or be a better person, then it is a valid experience - whether it comes from your present conscience or an actual past life.

Knowlage will come with wisdom. Wisdom through learning, and learning from experancing. Personaly I dont believe in past lives for all people some mabey if they wanted to. but the ever expanding population makes me think new souls, and most just stay in the after life when they die.

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but researchers have found that most people tend to associate their past life with someone being famous, such as Joan of Arc, King Henry VIII and someone of their own race, unless the researcher has informed the regressor that different races are common.

Just a thought.

I know what you mean, there are some who simply don't regress. I wouldn't say most though, just some. They come in with preconceived notions, etc.
I'll admit, I've only worked in the field for 5 years so the number of regressions I've seen is a very small number of the total. I guess I should say, in my experience there are some who claim to have been famous, but not most.
I knew someone who claimed he was an elf in a previous incarnation, king tut in another. He said he's going to save the world just a few years from now with his knowledge. His claims totally fell apart when the regressionist started really questioning him.
The only thing I can say with absolute certainty is that false claims will not benefit the person being regressed. Only honesty can be of benefit. Even if what the person sees isn't truly a past life, it can still be beneficial if the person is being totally honest with himself/herself.
Anything else is a waste of time and money and will probably end up making you look like a darned fool.

Well the legend is that since its very very old, it has a record of the planet in it. I'm not too sure about that and I think it has to do with the vibes it puts out rather.

Here's what google returned for it.

Petrified Wood - Longevity, past life regression, healing, protection

I would think that it would take a very different type of regression to use the petrified wood idea. After all, it may have a record of the planet within it, but it isn't the planet's history we are after in most cases.
It can be reasoned though, that anything will work if you believe that it will.
I think that the type of regression work our original poster was after would have more to do with the cellular record (his own cells) but I can't be sure. I am hoping to hear more from graveriderX letting us know how it is going and what has / hasn't worked so far.

If the petrified wood idea works for a person, then so be it. Like I say, if a person gets information that truly helps / enlightens / makes their life journey more complete, then that it what matters.
