Way no. Russia is practically one Nation against the US and NATOs 28 members. Russia dont fear us..We fear them.

According to NATOs own simulations russia can take Europe on their own in about 36 hours. That is also including US present forces stationed in Europe.

The Odd thing is that Americans think they can take russia on their own.... and beat them. That is scarry when it comes to conflicts like this.

It was a NATO tabletop exercise, where Russia was using their new K-77M AESA equipped air to air missiles. From what I was told, it was that they could knock out NATO air forces in 36 hours.

Yeah, once they had air superiority, it was all over but the screaming. That was assuming that they had full rate production, a large stockpile, and that the missile is as effective as the claims are.

Russia is in control of the CSTO the successor to the USSR state military alliance. Plus they will have at least Iran behind them along with the billion Chinese if push comes to shove. In addition there will be many states out there that will likely join them with a history of being screwed over by the West, Iraq comes to mind etc.

If we promised china RUSSIA and all their resources i suspect china would turn on russia fairly fast.

At the same time Vlad and the Chinese they are both total Commies at heart. They are likely to come to each others aid if it hits the fan as both know when one of them is gone the West/NATO whatever name one calls it is coming after them. Both nations sit on the roll call for top of the pile after the Axis of Evil is completely done over and that point is very near indeed

If you really think he is using chemical weapons on his own people. You are uniformed. Go and watch some unedited interviewer with him before the civil war broke out. It clearly states its a war by proxy. Go and read the pentagon papers that set a a strategic plan for undermining Syria using extremists (isis)
Ask yourself why Russia dis more damage to ISIS in a matter of weeks than the USA did in years of airstrikes.

Ask yourself why Assad still has the overwhelming support and love of his people.
Question the strategic thinking of bombing your own people that support you as the US says its about to pull out of Syria. Question any government that points the finger of blame before doing the forensics. It means they have an agenda.

The Chinese know russia will betray them eventually though. Stalin was gonna betray germany but hitler hit first.

ISIS may regroup and pretend to be Syrian rebels, yet again, with new funding, new recruits and fresh foreign mercenaries.

Syria was close to ending the civil war. I dont know if it will even exist anymore by the time we are done using up ordinance before its shelf life expires.

No because he is genuinely loved by his people and the people are acutely aware that if Assad losses this war that they will end up in just as much of a state as Iraq and Libya.
