would Russia help Iran if USA or Israel attacks nuke facility?

if Irans power station was blown up would Russia help Iran or just sit and watch as Iran attacked either Israel or USA or both with nukes??? and Israel or USa reply in kind with many many nukes makeing Iran a pile of glass in the sand.

I think they would didnt Russia and Iran sign a pact. If U.S.A ever attacked Iran it Russia will help out.

Well the definition of "help" is the main point of contention.

I'll assume russia will help to some extent, backdoor aid and equipment snuck across the border. I don't believe Russia would go all out and help them in public though,

Certainy not in direct combat. I think Russia has more economicaly to lose from cutting its ties with the US, than maintaining ties with Iran. I think Russia would stand back on this one. I am also certain Russia doesnt want Iran to have nukes as well, just not as badly as the US.

Its not real likely that they will. Russia has a lot more to gain by remaining somewhat on better terms with the US. Iran probably isn't worth it to them. Bush and Putin have somewhat of a friendship although they don't always agree with each other. Rationally i just don't think Russia would jump in and interfer. Its just not really to their benefit. I could be wrong, but that is my theory. No body probably knows for curtain.

First U.S is not going into Iran cuz they think Iran is going to have nukes, if Russia wanted to sell Iran nukes they would just sell them a few warheads already fully built, Russia knows that if the were actually building that plant to give nukes to Iran would easily be spotted by U.S threw satealite so thats theory 1. "Russia's nuke plant that they are building for Iran, will allow Iran to have nukes" is totaly a lie, 2. The plant that Rus is building for Iran is "SOFT WATER" Reactor which the IAEA has confirmed, which further PROOVES U.S. is diliberatly lying about Iran's interntion, now the question people need to ask is "Well why is it U.S.A. is saying Iran is a threat?" Answer:= Because U.S. wants to go into Iran for the same reason they went into Iraq= OIL,OIL,OOOOOIIIIILLLLL! They wouldn't like it, but I don't think Russia would find it worth fighting a direct grand scale war over, Russia has its own oil. I do think that there is a change from that point may decide to purposely sell nukes and the latest man-portable missiles/SAMS etc... to other countries to try stop usa government for further upsetting the balance of power with agressive invasions, also China might actively start proliferating ICBM/nuke technology to give the world at least a change for a small punch against the 800 lbs gorilla ...

So, you believe Russia, to whom Iran is an idealogical enemy, would be willing to see itself destroyed, for Iran? I know Russia is a powerful country, with a huge nuclear arsenal, so no need to get overly defensive, per usual, but we also have a huge nuclear arsenal, so we would both be no more. SiberianTiger too bad its a ''hard water plant'' Its a IR-40 a 40MW heavy water nuclear reactor at Arak. The EU has been trying to get Iran to use a Soft water reactor instead and even offered to help with the Tech. But yet Iran declined this offer from the EU.

The Hard water plant just makes it easier to do one thing make nuclear weapons.

I cant agree more heck if the nuclear Plant and thier missiles get blown up they will just have to buy more from Russia.

Evacuate 95% in what the 30 minutes it would take for our nukes to hit Russia Keep dreaming. Not even counting US subs that would take even less time.

that predicts Russia will aid Iran when America and Israel attack. I know this isn't the place to discuss bible codes, but it has been predicted in the past.

Rule of selling and buying.

Russians provides Iran with nuke facilities/technology and Iran pays the Russians.That's all.Russia wouldn't even care if Iran's nuke facilities are bombarded by the U.S or Israel.Hell,I don't even think thr Russian would want to be a part of this Middle East mess.

They suffered badly in the invasion of Afghan some time ago and I don't think they want to suffer the same fate as before.
