US President Donald Trump has promised a "forceful" response to the alleged chemical attack in Syria, as Western leaders consider what action to take.

BBC News

He was obviously a false flag the only question his who. The USA only announced last week it was pulling out......
I don't believe in coincidences.
And I don't care how evil Assad is. Evil does not = stupid. USA pulling out would be the best thing for Assad as he would have wiped the rebels out within the year. Why would he risk that for a needless chemical attack?

A) Syrian rebels (who have been proven to posses chemical weapons) getting there arse kicked by Assed knowing there would be dead without western support did it.

B) Warhawks within the USA staged it through the CIA.

C) UK, Saudi Arabia, France, Israel (take your pick) did it to keep the USA in the war.

D) A mixture of the above.

Trump I don't think had anything to do with it. He honestly would have withdrawn. But Trump is easily influenced and lead with emotion not logic making him easily played. He has just seen pictures of dead children and is lashing out at the easily target without thinking.

My pick is taken : Israel...

Don’t ask me to justify as they are not worth it in my personal opinion.

Always whining and whinging but never putting something positive on the table.

From a link within the article:

Macron in Feb 2018

We will strike the place where these launches are made or where they are organised," he told reporters.

"Today, our agencies, our armed forces, have not established that chemical weapons, as set out in treaties, have been used against the civilian population," he said.

"As soon as such proof is established, I will do what I said. The priority is the fight against the terrorists."

A little suspect that Macron threatened Syria about this about six weeks ago..

How interesting, it makes America seem relevant, but the Russian Ambassador at the UN in his denial of any gas, said they were welcome to check the site of the alleged gassing.

Wait I thought trump was going to be different.
Told you all ages ago they are all the same Clinton trump all of them there just to make their pals rich.
The USA gets rich off war just look at how many years they have had no conflict to prove my point.

Actually I think he is different. I think he genuinely wanted to leave Syria. But because he is not that bright and does not think with logic he was easily manipulated into this absurd action.

Clinton, Obama and Bush would know it was a set up and likely even order such a atrocity. Trump is likely completely clueless and believes the bull# being presented to him.

I agree with you. Every time Syria's about to win, something coincidentally happens to pull us back in it.

Though I find it ironic that politicians are pretending to give a crap about dead Syrian civilians now when they've been getting killed the whole time. Our airstrikes have killed Syrian civilians, Israeli airstrikes have killed Syrian civilians, and our other allies and proxy fighters have killed Syrian civilians. Hell, Trump launched a Yemen raid that killed 30 civilians and 1 Navy Seal less than 2 weeks after getting inaugurated, yet most people don't even remember what I'm talking about.

Since when does a family care if their innocent family members were killed by govt bullets as opposed to govt gas? It's one of the most preposterous stances of fake moral outrage that I've ever seen. The West has been killing Muslim civilians all over the world indiscriminately for the last 16 & a half years during the "War on Terror". But we supposedly have the moral high ground by pretending to care about dead civilians if they're supposedly killed by gas?

This isn’t the 1st time Assad has been claimed to have used chemical weapons, so what’s suspect about what Macron said?

Oh for crying out loud...

Trump got played? Really? Well dang, and here I thought he was supposed to be some sort of genius, some sort of shrewd, intellectually advanced type, the sort of guy you could not get a photon past without his noticing and remembering it...

Of course, I did not think that, but this is the sort of nonsense that his supporters believe about him. Either a) they are wrong and always were, in which case, big middle fingers to the lot of them, and I hope it chokes them all, or b) they are right, and he is pure walking filth who should be shot at the nearest possible opportunity. There is no third option.

Or those barrel bombs hit a gas cylinder or plastic bottle containing chlorine. It's funny seeing the media get all outraged over improvised explosives as if standard munitions with razor sharp shrapnel aren't bad enough.

Assad doesn't have anything to gain by using chemical weapons and was winning the war anyway.
