Sure he is. You guys sound so desperate and scared.

Well the facts don't look good to get that warrant a judge would have needed evidence of crime. No judge would be OK with breaking attorney client privilege without proof of wrong doing. Bottom line Mueller found something only question is how involved is Trump? Did he know what Cohen was up to? And judging from the warrant whatever it was Will put Cohen in jail.

The MSM for the most part is truthful, they may have a bias towards a particular political party and if that’s the case choose another station

They have journalistic standards they follow, and if they get it wrong and they do from time to time they will apologise

Cult 45 and St. Petersburg Russian troll army are pushing out they are fake news, the reason they do this is to get their flock to not read real news so they don’t fact check the crazy headline grabbing story they are pushing with

This is important to remember. Mueller didn't act alone. He handed this off the the new York office because he felt it fell outside the scope of his investigation. The judge had to be pretty convinced to issue this type of warrant.

If this has anything to do with Mueller, time to fire his ass. This is so far outside the scope of "Russia collusion" debunked conspiracy theory it isn't even funny.

And yes, it was debunked the second Mueller conceded Trump wasn't an actual criminal target.

Fire him, and deal with the backlash later. No one is impeaching Trump, period. Worthless ineffectual GOP can't even get their act together to pass our agenda through congress, they sure as hell won't find support for impeachment. Really for any reason.

Section ii of paragraph b in the mandate issued by Rod Rosenstein says "Any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation". That is all the wiggle-room Mueller needs to investigate whatever he wants! Thank god...

STATES RIGHTS! TENTH AMENDMENT! LOCAL JURISDICTION!

... unless, of course, the State in question didn't vote for your candidate, then it's corruption and/or treason.

"The deafening silence from the ACLU and civil libertarians about the intrusion into the lawyer-client confidentiality is really appalling," Dershowitz said.

Dershowitz recommended that Trump make a motion in court to take Cohen's materials away from the FBI and make a judge decide what evidence can be used and which cannot.

Interesting perspective from a lifelong democrat.

Hmmm...this is a pretty big thing, both in what may be uncovered, but more as to why Mueller felt a need to do this. Attorney-client privilege is one of the types of communications held in highest regard in the eyes of the law.

I'm very interested into why this was an okay thing to do under the scope of Mueller's investigation, or if this will be the thing that takes his actions too far. I'm of the belief that this investigation has far exceeded the original intent for which it was petitioned and approved--this step may lead to its end.

We'll see.

An even keeled assessment/response.

The warrant was authorized by Geoffrey Bergen: Federal Judge of the Southern District of NY (appointed by Trump himself), so logically it stands to reason Mueller would have provided adequate evidence to Bergen to allow for the raid (implying that he's got a fair bit of damning evidence that some kind of malfeasance has occurred already).

I wonder how much Trump is really upset at the Russia collusion investigation.. vs. how much he is actually upset because he is worried about how much other dirt they will dig up while conducting said investigation.

Yeah this is Muellers brainchild.

FBI raids office of Trump’s longtime lawyer

The FBI on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Manhattan federal prosecutors obtained the search warrant for Cohen’s office after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert Mueller, according to Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.”

The search does not appear to be directly related to Mueller’s investigation but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

So far outside his investigation its not even funny.

Mueller is trying to cover his ass and is now hoping for anything to get Trump with. The referral and warrant application need to be reviewed to ensure they are valid.

It's almost like you don't know what a "referral" is, but I'm guessing you aren't really that stupid and are instead just attempting to remain outraged no matter what.

I bet it wasn’t to look for Clinton’s email. More than likely it’s has to do with illegal use of campaign funds. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

And I bet it wasn’t to look for evidence of ‘Russian collusion’ since there is none after the left has breathlessly been claiming for a year and a half. This now has been turned into a fishing expedition to find anything, such as an unmade bed or a carton of eggs that have aged beyond the expiration date.

Where was it decreed that there is no Russian collusion that happened?

Are you one of those who believes that because Trump is the "subject" of an obstruction charge since taking office, that means he's in the clear?

You realize that the discussion came about in bargaining to speak to Trump about possible obstruction charges while in office, correct? And within the context of "obstruction charges for conduct while in office" Mueller told him he was a subject, not a target, a subject being someone who has committed acts within the scope of a criminal investigation, and that Mueller wanted to hear Trump's point of view on the obstruction acts.

None of that conversation encompassed actions undertaken prior to coming to office, which were not part of the negotiations.

Mueller's team has multiple tracks, one division is crimes committed while in office - which they do not believe they can indict the president for, as that is the purview of Congress (unlike what Kenneth Starr believed). Another track is crimes committed prior to coming into office (which would involve Russia), and Mueller does believe they can indict a president for crimes committed prior to coming to office. They were not discussing this track, and if you go back to the articles, note that Mueller makes plain that Trump is not a target for obstruction for crimes committed while in office.

You people believe that Mueller "exonerated" Trump by that quote, only Trumpers would take a statement "Your client is the subject of a federal investigation" and make that an exoneration.

The crimes that the FBI went after yesterday may not even involve the president, and yet he is acting like they must. It may be nothing more than crimes committed by Michael Cohen, the articles say they went after evidence of wire fraud, bank fraud and campaign finance fraud. Those crimes could implicate Trump, they might not. I don't know. I know Cohen is a shady character who has been terrorizing women for years.

But, do understand, Trump has not been cleared on anything about anything involving anything with respect to Russia.
