The doctor visit that I had went as well as could be expected. I'm wearing an orthopedic boot to help out a bit as I have a fracture that didn't heal properly from a previous fall. As always happens in my world, I was expecting a call telling me when the out-patient surgery is being scheduled to fix my torn ligaments. Guess I'll call tomorrow to find out what is up.

WIS, i don't have the right words to share with you to make things better at work when dealing with so many idiots that are about these days.

I'll just borrow some words to share then...

Oh no, I completely missed your post Fin! I don't know how the hell I did that. What are your meditations like?

I have read a couple of books and online articles about meditating. Usually those techniques don't fit me. I have created my own way. I think one is supposed to be in a sitting position. I lay on my back. The man, the breathing, and the bed. I try to find the natural breathing rhythm which is a bit slower and deeper than normally. My aim is to silence the noise in my head. No, i don't hear voices, but there is a constant bombardment of thoughts going on. "Should i cook?" "should i check the shed?" "Should i go for a walk?"

My aim, in meditation, is peace of mind and relaxation. I usually meditate from 20 minutes to a little over an hour. Thoughts can appear, but i gently put them aside, without putting labels on them "this thing is good" "This thing is bad" it is just a thought, i let it come, and then i let it go.

Yep cream in coffee is good. But i don't buy it, because i think it cools down the coffee too much (of course one might warm it up a bit first but i am lazy, especially just after waking up) but i might add some cream to my coffee when there is a birthday party or the like, at my sister's place or mom's place.

No, I haven't tried the root touch up that you mentioned. I have tried a couple of others, but didn't care for them. My friend found one she likes though, so I'll have to see what that one is for in between times.

I have tried different meditation techniques in the past. I should get back to the deep breathing I learned from yoga. Mindful meditation, living in the moment helps...sometimes.

Have a magical day everyone!

When people did my hair it was 9% hydrogen peroxide mixed with a light blue powder (I think it was to help the colour remain after bleaching, dyeing and washing) to the consistency of a thick gravy. Then coat all hair completely and let it sit for at least half an hour. Itching is normal, it's the peroxide irritating the skin slightly. Rinse well, towel dry and apply gaily coloured dye and wait. All in all, about 2 hours work but they shaved my head too which also takes time.

It's cold in the winter without a hat but now I have my hair back almost. No more Mohawks.

Hi Light! Great band!

I'll stick with my medium brown hair. I had purchased a purple temporary dye I was going to highlight my hair with once, but gave that away. I'm colorful enough, I don't need fancy colors.

Awww, what an adorable dog!

I saw a gorgeous husky dog being walked the other day. We often see dogs in the neighborhood, but it was so awesome seeing a husky.

Thank You Dear. I have had a retched day, I feel so guilty and I will never be able to make amends. The girl was sweet but her parents and family are vile, violent bottom scum. I am so scared they will take revenge physically and spread lies about me. I know they will, they thrive on hateful gossip.
I can't rest.
My last day at work is Friday, after putting in my notice two weeks ago. I will have worked twelve days out of fourteen on avarage ten hours a day because people kept calling in. I am so exhuasted mentally and physically.

And I don't have a job lined up. I have been too tired to look.

Now that was funny. Hubby accidentally butt-dialed me from work and definitely didn't know it. I got to briefly listen in on the start of a meeting for management, about new ideas to best utilize & streamline their time in the offices.

It's hilarious because one of the folks immediately piped up and said really annoyed, "You've got to be effing kidding me. We're running everything at production maximum and you want us to sit in here for office tips when we could be getting the necessary paperwork done with our time?!" A lot of stifled snorts and laughs followed that. I simply quietly hung up and chuckled, it seemed like an ironic timing choice for that kind of meeting, and I kind of agree with the person that spoke up -- there's better things to spend their time on today than talking about how to spend their time, lol XD

Thank you, and WIS, too
Part of what helps them in being good humans isn't just us, it's the people in the neighborhood, too. A lot of our neighbors are really good positive influences on the kids in the neighborhood

We must give you wings to fly. You have taken an important step in giving your notice as the job was making you miserable and it was unhealthy to be overworked like that. However...you must gather your strength now and raise your sword high in gaining employment elsewhere. Your life depends on it. You need to survive. You know this. You have been strong for so long and I must ask you to hold on a bit longer.

This could change your life for the better and we will once again see the Wister you were meant to be. you will smile again, you will breathe a sigh of relief, but stay strong my Warrior Woman. Stay strong!

You are loved and you are worthy of a good life. Warm, gentle hug dear friend. Prayers and positive energy being sent. I'll light incense and think on this, of you and a better tomorrow.

You are fortunate to have your lovely family and are in a neighborhood with good people that also influence your children in a positive way.

I wish you courage. I wish you strength, with much love.

I am no stranger to being in dark places, overwhelmed and frightened of what might come next. I wish for you to find employment with a great crew of co-workers and less hours. Prayers for you Love.

ach wheesht wummin!

I had a nice quiet relaxing day.
Afternoon spent alone in the woods with my hammock and brand new mosquito net (for keeping the midgies out!).
My sis & her family all came over in the early evening with presents, chat and good humour.
I made a very nice beef-steak curry for dinner (my choice!) and then had a few drinks before early-ish bed.

@WIS
WIS, I am just going to say this...
I am GLAD that you've taken the decision to leave your current job.
You were not happy, fulfilled or respected there and YOU DESERVE BETTER.
Now, take a deep DEEP breath. Complete your commitments (if you must!).
Maybe take a few days off, recharging your batteries... then move on.
Come back fresh and get a job that YOU want.

These things have a habit of working out.
Now, Go Make it happen.
