I became conscious immediately following the loud rumble. It was weird, as I had no memory, no recollection of who I was, where I was, or how did I
end up here. It felt like there was no yesterday, no tomorrow, only the moment I was in, as of time had no longer exist. I tried to look but I
couldn’t see, yet I felt my surroundings like I was looking at a picture. I felt a slow movement but I knew it’s not me who is moving, rather I
was carried. I felt weightless, floating in the middle of nothing surrounded by something white, sometimes grey fluffiness. I also felt millions of
others around, just like me not moving but slowly drifting in the empty space. It was all peaceful apart from the occasional sudden flash, followed by
loud bang that echoed over and over.
That’s when I noticed her. I still couldn’t see but I felt her as she floated not far from me. I also knew that she noticed me, and I was sure
that unlike the millions of others she is conscious too. Attraction ran through me like an unstoppable river, I didn’t understand why, but I
couldn’t help it. She was beautiful. It was much more than physical attraction, somewhat deeper, as if I knew we belong together. She must have felt
the same because she was getting closer. I didn’t know how she did it as I was sure just like me she can’t move, but nevertheless she was getting
near to me, almost next to me. I wanted to go closer more than anything, and all sudden I was floating to her direction unaware of how. Like two
magnets we were drawn together and soon we were circulating around each other, faster and faster.
It turned into a crazy dance, swirling in a spiral faster and faster until suddenly we were so close together, we became one. At that moment I
suddenly understood what this feeling I felt was. It was more than attraction. It was love. I became one with her and she became one with me. The
place did not matter anymore, neither the others around us, or the flashes and the rumbles, the only thing mattered that I was with her and we became
full. I felt total happiness nothing else. Our crazy dance started to slow down still in the same spiral, and we slowly became separated but still
next to each other.
The next flash came really close and the blast after felt shocking. Suddenly I understood where I am, and what I am. As the floating stopped and we
all started to free fall towards the ground, my happiness turned bittersweet. I became overly sad, but grateful for her as I knew she loved me for
what I was, a single rain drop among the millions in a massive cloud. I also understood my purpose. I was made of water same as she, to give life by
losing ours. I deeply knew we will meet again and again as we were one once, we will always be together. We were life.
The End
