Who was making fun of dyslexia? I missed that.

Dyslexia is a sign of high intelligence, but requires much work to overcome. I should know; I had a long fight with dyslexia in my youth. I have no doubt someone with a 4.0+ GPA would have a history of dyslexia.

I admit, reading through his Reddit...I have to give him props for turning things around for himself. It sounds like he really struggled in middle school.

Also, I didn't see anything outrageously hypocritical. He sounds pretty consistent about his politics and social views.

On the other hand, it's also very obvious he has exploited the shooting to propel his dreams of becoming a journalist, which is lame, IMO.

A user named 'lauren_hoggs' posted a few hours after the comment (in August) that it wasn't true because she was his real sister. That account was made last March, the reply was within 6 hours, and Lauren is actually the name of David Hogg's sister in real life.

This thread is based on a hoax, one with really crappy internet detective work. They never scrolled down and saw that comment.

No, someone made a profile that said 'ImDavidsMom' and Lauren responded that it was untrue (that the user was actually his mom) and she would know because she is his sister.

I think this is Hogg's Reddit and from Googling it, it looks like people have known it for weeks.

Prove any of that. Like when did he say he wasn't at the school and that he biked to the school from his house after the shooting took place. where is that video?

Because he was at the school and shot video on his phone while locked down inside a closet.
The story got a bit convoluted because he went home then decided to return to the school to do his interviews.
There's video of him at the school during the shooting.
This story is being unfairly circulated and has been proven wrong.

Bloggers took two sources and combined them. One an interview where he states he was in a classroom at 2:30 and an interview later about him going to the school to obtain video and interviews but neglected to say it was after six in the evening.

Actually, I know a lot of people like him......

I think they are as psychotic as he is, and I don't listen to them either.

I participated in this thread specifically to see what proof came out showing it was actually him.

Some of the comments in the reddit profile are quite disturbing, regardless of who actually said them.

I have absolutely no inclination to fact check it. I don't do "social media platforms" other than ats, and have literally absolutely zero interest in the kid.

What the ptb do BECAUSE of the kid, then i'll get more interested. Right now, it's just one more thing to point fingers and fight over. Of which, I choose not to.

No joke, I blame the flouride.

You think it is bad on YT, some of the guests on NPR are MUCH worse. Just the other day one guest kept saying "uuuhhhh" and I noticed it and got irritated. About 3 minutes later I realized that it was almost constant so I started counting. In the next 3 minutes time I counted over 40 "Uuuhhhhs" and then just stopped counting. It was a 15 minute interview and I think 3-4 mins were "uuuhhh's" from the guest with about 4-5 mins of the host talking. It drove me mad to the point I started "mmmooooo"ing (like a cow) every time he said "uuuhhh". I had to do something to deal with the insanity or I was going to loose it so I thought it would do something to ease the tension. So now whenever someone does a repetitive "filler" word/sound I make the cow noise and it makes it much more tolerable. I'm sure there is some kind of reasoning that it relieves the stress but it is also hilarious if there are other people around wondering WTF you are doing!!!
