The timing of the video's release is hardly subtle but Mr Putin isn't really known for his subtlety , the video show the second successful launch of the ICBM that Russia believes is unstoppable.

Oh Mr Putin , what a big rocket you have !

"No defense systems will be able to withstand it," Putin said about the missile during his state-of-the-nation speech in early March. The test-launch also comes after Putin’s recent re-election and a congratulatory phone call from President Trump -- in which Trump reportedly also warned his Russian counterpart, "if you want to have an arms race we can do that, but I'll win," according to two officials that spoke to NBC News. Days before the launch, the U.S. Navy test-fired its own ICMB from a ballistic missile submarine off the coast of Southern California.

There's nothing like the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction to make one appreciate life and our tenuous grip on it.

This is the same Trump who called Putin to congratulate him on his stage managed victory ?
I have no faith in either of them , they're both crazy old men with the ability to kill us all.

Awww...just let May on your side and McCain and the MSM on our side do a little more smack-talk and I'm sure everything will be okay.

I like how NATO gives Russian missiles names like Satan while ours are given names like Patriot and Minuteman.

Maybe a little less on the nose would be Freedom Killer 2 or Slavery 5. Does anyone know what Chuck Norris would be in Russian? That would scare people.

Yes, like all others who called and congratulated. Cut the naive crap.

Trust, in that we KNOW you don't have faith in our President.

Your fears are unfounded and if this makes you concerned, then I know we're doing something right, people like you tend over embellish the worse, its amusing to see.

To think, we're building things that can wipe out entire cities and thousands of people in an instant and we're proud of it. We care more about our abilities to kill than to help those in need. We're screwed.

That's satan in action . And yes l not subtle at all bad move from the russians I think

The russians start to bite back. Change in policy...

Oh Mr Putin , what a big rocket you have !

Why is everything related to putin. I mean It isn't that evil Putin says to this 17 Russian trolls 'hey guys lets fire up a rocket' (that's a dc comic). These tests are planned in advance aren't they ?

Bottom line is that it's getting rather dangerous. Is there a road back. like hey diplomacy. Don't think so. The problem now is that the Russians aren't soyboys from cuckistan.

the first version of this ICBM had an ability to launch pretty huge weights into orbit, SALT limited the megatonnage and the MIRV count, so Russia just put tons of penetration aids(giggidy) to overwhelm US space defences and ground based interceptors.

the real story with all these ICBMs is that if we launch any of them at each other, were all dead. so this new missile might be an upgrade from the last but we would all be just as dead..

from a scientific standpoint it is an advancement, for them.

I think it does as well. First thing is the almost artistically perfect beautiful sky - hazy dazy summery blue sky with white fluffy clouds, then the high contrast primary colours for the launch pad equipment and rocket. There seems to be a border of trees to cover up the horizon line. The fluid dynamics of the smoke seem to be slower than normal and not as much detail. That's something they do when filming miniature sets. They have to scale the frame rate according to the ratio of the set size to the real world. So if it is a 1/10th scale model, they need 10x as many frames, which needs a high-speed camera. We only see the rocket launch upwards and not in flight. Didn't have the budget for a high studio.

well , what did Putin say back then ?

"Thanks very much , our MIC will be very happy too ?"

What was the conclusion of the telephone collusion ?

Maybe , or perhaps it was a reaction to something.

The Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Nebraska (SSBN 739) along with the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) conducted successful test flights of two Trident II D5 Missiles, March 26.

The unarmed test missiles were launched as part of Demonstration and Shakedown Operation (DASO) 28 in the Pacific Test Range off the coast of Southern California.

"The successful completion of DASO 28 was not only an important milestone in USS Nebraska's return to service, but also an important demonstration of the reliable and credible sea-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad," said Capt. Mark Behning, deputy director, SSP.

its real man, just watch any liquid fueled ICBM silo launch.

our minuteman missiles are solid fuel so the smoke is a bit different and more dense.

What this is, is video of a launch. The question should be, is there video of the actual test range that shows its capacity?

But this is a launch test, and one that shows it can get going and not crash.

I think the question should be are we moving closer to D-Day , with relations deteriorating between the West and Russia ICBM test launches are not going to ease those tensions.

I suspect Nuclear war is like the Spanish Inquisition ... no one expects it.

i think we will see a flare in a conflict zone where Russia and NATO or US forces are and someone will use tactical weapons and shortly after that if cooler head don't prevail there will be an exchange

with chemical weapons being used in a very blatient way(by who ever) it shows to me that the gloves are slipping off. If the most recent attack in the UK killed allot of UK citizens and was linked back to Russia or a proxy there might have been a big outcry for revenge.

i think the world is closer to an actual nuclear exchange(full or regional) than ever before, sadly.
