When does the madness stop?

When will these terror groups be on the wanted list?

A deep dive into the Deadpool 2 trailer

J.K. Rowling.© press association J.K. Rowling. JK Rowling has been slammed by Twitter followers after she apparently 'liked' a tweet describing transgender women as "men in dresses".

The Harry Potter author liked the tweet amid a row about the status of transgender women in the Labour Party.

The tweet, written by @racybearhold, who has since deleted their account, read: "I was shouted at by men at my first Labour Party meeting aged 18 because I asked them to remove a Page 3 calendar.

"I've been told to toughen up, be louder, stronger, independent. I've often not felt supported.

"Men in dresses get brocialist solidarity I never had. That's misogyny!"

But....Trans women ARE just men in dresses (costume). Reality is offensive.

im happy to call Harry 'Maggie' if he so wishes, but one cannot change their gender, no matter how much make-up or bits chopped off.

if bruce jenner ever needed a heart or a finger or an organ, physicians will not try to graft on a female organ and risk 'Bruce' dying at the expense of the mental satisfaction of 'Kaitlyn' Jenner....

our species cannot change their sexes... ever, all we can do is camouflage what we were born with; although im happy to oblige to call 'kathy' 'Karl' if she wishes so.

I actually agree with the idea that trans people are just lying to themselves, or suffering a mental condition.(just my uneducated opinion) But..
"When will these terror groups be on the wanted list?"

This line of rationality is not helpful, and no less radical.

Lost me there.

A classic casd of the special interest groups in the Labour party fighting over the pecking order of the totem pole.

I love when stuff like this happens. Until people realize ‘victim politics’ is like a shark, it has to keep moving or it dies

The only way for people and politicians to keep their money and power is to keep finding things offensive, er well offensive if others do them, obviously not your group.

Have you considered that maybe the terror groups being talked about are the ones who would go after you seeking to do serious damage to your life just for harboring that opinion?

Exactly.

If I tweeted now that I thought trans people have mental health issues'. I'd be banned friom twitter most likely. I think they do have h problems but no more than the LGBT community as a whole... they just won't admit it.

What "terror", not being done with comments online, has taken place?

Perhaps I missed something.

The ones where online outrage follows people back into their personal lives, ruins their jobs, etc.

If someone made a serious effort to out you for who you actually were and report you to your RL peers and coworkers, your HR dept., etc., it can have serious consequences for you. You are tried and convicted by the mob, not the law.

That sounds pretty overblown and dramatic, but I guess I will have to take your word on that.

Spoken like someone who thinks he or she really harbors all the "right" opinions all the time and so thinks he or she is perfectly safe.

If you haven't been paying attention to the way these things have gone, then you are either being intellectually dishonest or willfully obtuse.

1) being heckled in parliament is not misogyny.

2) not having everyone agree with you and support your point of view is not misogyny.

3) feeling supported is not a right.

4) you are responsible for your own self esteem and wellbeing.

5) Trans people aren't just "men in dresses" but nor are they exempt from jokes or exaggeration for comic effect/to make a point.

6) JK Rowling (and anyone else) can like whatever they want and shouldn't be subject to abuse for it.

7) bullying someone for having an opinion says more about you than it does about them.

Plotus..
I wonder...? If you didn't participate in these social medias like tweet and FB, would you be denied employment for 'being off the grid' as it were ? Wonder if JW's do twitter and such, and/or you could claim your religion doesn't allow social media as a your defense at not participating ?

Truthful feelings be damned, humanity will not rest until we have made it illegal to do anything other than cover true feelings behind lies.

Nice. I guess we will all feel better....excepting the internal rifts it creates. Might as well be kinder to you than to myself.
