Great Mills High School is located about 60 miles southeast of Washington DC in St.Mary's county, and is home to some 1,600 students.
It comes just four days before the national March for Our Lives, a rally for student safety which was organized after last month's massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
Multiple people were injured in a shooting at a high school in southeast Maryland Tuesday morning, the St. Mary’s County sheriff’s office confirmed.
The shooting happened Tuesday morning at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland.

are you trolling or being serious? Kids are more likely to get killed driving and texting then getting shot at a school. Hanging out with friends and ODing is also more likely to get kids killed then getting shot at school.

Exactly, why are schools not putting metal detectors in yet? It is rediculous!! Just like going into a courthouse, you should have to go thought security. How hard is this to implement? How many more will have to die, before such a simple solution be put in place? Certainly it would at least be a deterant.
