Bipolar Disorder, insanity or just another perception of reality?

My contention is this, I am not insane but aware of things that others are not. I hear from every phychologist and psychiatrists that is merely the nature of my illness. Yes, all the books claim so also. I have read many. But how would they know unless they were Bipolar as well? If they were, what credibility would they have?
