Will a new Fed/State battle finally bring about a new Civil Conflict in the US?

In their last action on the matter the Supreme Court refused to hear an amicus brief on behalf of citizens in several states that were attempting to make all of them a shall issue instead of a may issue in regards carry permits. I know because I am in one of them.

Someone will need to challenge these laws and have to work its way back up the courts to see what is determined this time, if anything.
