President Donald Trump has pardoned a Navy submariner sentenced to prison for taking photos inside the classified engine room of a nuclear submarine, the White House announced on Friday.
Petty Officer First Class Kristian Saucier pleaded guilty in May 2016 to two felony counts, one for unlawful retention of national defense information and another for obstruction of justice, for taking cellphone pictures inside the Navy vessel and later destroying his own equipment upon learning he was under investigation.
Court filings say he initially denied he took the pictures. Prosecutors say he later smashed his laptop, camera and memory card and threw them in the woods.
On top of that, Saucier had a handgun not registered to him in his home, prosecutors allege. After the FBI and NCIS showed up to question him, he allegedly cleaned it with bleach and stashed it under the dishwasher.

Now compare this to Clinton's top secret emails that were hacked and got Iranian nuclear technician Shahram Amiri killed.
Or Obamas $1,300,000,000.00 cash pallets to Muslim terrorist nation Iran!!!

The guy wanted to show his kids a picture of himself on a sub in 20 years when its all declassified.
He didnt take crazy revealing pictures. He was sitting at a station and over 90% of the pictures were entirely of himself. The rest didnt really reveal instrumentation or anything.
Real life compared to BS? Why?

I thought it was crazy when he was charged. A picture might give an engineering expert a clue but without a more in-depth examination I don't think folks would be able to run out and build one.

I honestly didnt see all those pictures posted here until now. It doesnt really change my mind, though I now understand better WHY he was put through the ringer.
He shouldnt go to prison or have his name ruined because of it.

From what I read his pictures revealed the capabilities of the Sub, including speed amongst other things.
