Evoultion copied with computers

This is a story that was reported in the State News, Michigan States school news paper. It is a computer pragram designed that replicates and actually mimics evolution. (Terminators and the matrix anyone?) I believe someone asked if we could recreate life, well.... This in a sense, if it works as i understood the article, would be a recreation of life.
