However, I will be waiting for a crazed lunatic with a gun to shoot up a public location that happens to be an NRA member too.. Because it happens.

There is a school in west Tx who arm teachers. It goes like this...princpal makes recommendations, police interview, then a psych exam and last a week in police arms training. Looks like an effort to cover all bases.

I guess I can be blunt too. The only fools are the ones willing to give away another's rights for thier own safety.

Why does everyone fight for the "rights" they believe in while trying to take away the "rights" of others?

I believe a trained teacher should be allowed to conceal carry. This is not something being forced on anyone who is against it. But it should be the right of the teacher to protect him/herself from these types of incidents.

I guarantee you the same teachers who sacrificed their lives for their students would have had a much better chance of survival if they were armed.

Guns are not going away. Nor is their any reason for law abiding citizens to give up their personal freedoms due to someone else's fear.

We are a constitutional republic and not a pure democracy to ensure mob rule never interferes with the rights of others.
