Shows just how beholden to lobbyists these so-called "representatives of the people" actually are. Pretty sad that everything has turned into partisan politics these days, almost as if it's a concerted effort on the part of both parties to have everyone prejudiced against those who hold a different opinion.

I'm certain that all manner of untoward things are occurring behind closed doors at any given time. The fact that it's happening out in the open is what's shocking — the brazenness — and what it implies about the state politics.

The dems have been calling for boycotts of businesses that sell guns or even associate with the NRA and now you have a problem with partisan politics hurting businesses?
What?
Do you honestly not see the difference between people calling for a boycott (which happens just as often on the Right) and an elected official threatening to retaliate against a company on behalf of a political lobbying organization if the company doesn't give the lobbying org's members discounted services?
Tell me that you can see how those are vastly different.

The President called for a boycott of the NFL. Gonna top that one? No? And that's got nothing to do with what's happening here anyway.
a slush fund corporation is dictating American politics...

I didn't call for any boycotts. Do you just randomly say things and hope they're true? The tweet wasn't a "direct result of" any boycotts either, it was the result of Cagle being a corrupt politician who is abusing his power in retaliation for Delta discontinuing discounts for NRA members.

The GOP getting involved in telling a capitalistic free enterprise corporation how to run their business. Maybe they should just make it a state run airline.
And here all this time I thought they were for deregulation, lower taxes and less government involvement. guess not...
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra warned businesses on Thursday to keep quiet when talking to federal immigration authorities or face legal ramifications.

On Saturday, Delta Airlines announced that it was ending its contract for discounted rates with the NRA. And now Georgia's Lt. Governor, Casey Cagle, is publicly threatening to take legislative action against Delta.
