'Major incident' declared after Leicester 'explosion' reports

A "major incident" has been declared by British police after reports of an "explosion" in Leicester. At around 7.03pm Leicestershire Fire and Rescue received calls from the public who said they had heard a blast on Hinckley Road. A spokeswoman for the force said six fire engines had been requested and that the incident is currently being treated as a search and rescue operation.

Terrorist attacks tend to go for bigger targets.
I would assume gas until we learn otherwise.

The knee jerk reaction is not a human fault I believe. So many terrible things happening these days. The mind will generally hop to a criminal/terrorist conclusion because the severity that terrorism imprints on ones brain....

I'm thinkung 'gas blast' right now either caused from above flat or the shop below has a gas cooker or gas supply unless something else went off accidently before main target.
