A new detail i don't see here yet is that he saw a neighbor outside and yelled over to him to "tell your wife to delete my number", in the days before he went missing. Speculating here, but maybe he didn't want the neighbors to be linked to him when people started asking questions and investigating.

He called off sick for two days before the day he left early and went missing. It just seems like he walked away from everything to possibly go off and commit suicide but it doesn't make sense that he would leave his dog, who he loved. But maybe the windows were opened for the dog to escape if no one came by to check on him.

I get the feeling he knew something was up, and the statement to neighbors was strategic, as well as the windows being open too.

I feel he’s in hiding somewhere.

* Feb 5 (Monday) he found out he was not getting the expected promotion
* Feb 8th & 9th (Thursday & Friday) he called off work
* Feb 11 texts his neighbor to tell neighbors wife to erase his phone number from her phone
* Feb 12 (Monday) he met with his superior and learned why he didn't get the promotion
* Feb 12 shortly after learning the reasoning, said he felt sick and went home

He tried to call his Mother who lives in Maryland on his way home. She missed the call and he did not leave a voice message.

Hasn't been heard from since.

We prefer to think the worst, Captain Trips style.

So I've been interested in this. I think this is highly suspicious. While I think something may of happened and the gov't is covering up a mistake, for this I am assuming he is alive and on the run. I do not believe he didn't't have anything to do with secret material as the first thing they do when someone with any dangerous knowledge goes missing is deny they have that knowledge.

So looking at around his neighborhood of the Bolton Neighborhood, I notice one major thing. A huge train yard with 100's of trains. He has training on evasion from the marines. Rule number one leave all traces behind. Take only bare necessities. Must vets or military personnel have a emergency fund that even their own family is not aware of in case of a need to leave town.
So in my opinion, if he's alive, he had a fund, hopped a cargo train out of town. No security cameras on cargo trains like passenger terminals and busses. Now where he went and why is another story.

Right. I read that police have checked and said his key card for the CDC has not been used and none of his Credit Cards have been used (he left them behind, but could have used the numbers etc).

By now they have also likely finished combing the woods and nearby areas like they said they were going to do.

He was close distance to both a massive rail yard like you said and a water treatment plant. Both make me nervous.

The guy might or might not be crazy, but he was super smart and competent, no one disputes that. That means if he planned to disappear, then he likely planned it carefully and thoroughly.

So we cant even blame poor achievement because he was doing better than fine workwise.

Edit: just read a bit about the commander rank... that basically a unit chief officer... like the leader of seal team or captain of a navy vessel, even in the health department.
Wouldnt they be more head over heels to finding this guy?

If I am doubly conspiratorial...He could be in hiding. It's a very odd case.

With the false story of him being distraught do to missing a promotion being put out there, maybe they planned to this when they found him?

Well it’s been two weeks now and there aren’t any zombies shuffling around or outbreaks of some crazy never before seen plague. I’m getting the feeling we won’t be seeing this gentleman again which is really sad for his family.
