This story is evidence that the right is also exploiting this massacre to advance its agenda. How do we know that this student is real? Maybe he is a "crisis actor" hired by the right, or an alt-right student?

You're an aspiring journo - now's your chance to shine and present the evidence to reflect your allegations.

I'm not the one making allegations, you are. Can you provide evidence that this person exists, is enrolled in the school, and is telling the truth about being approached by CNN? See how that works? Once you invent the "crisis actor" conspiracy theory it works both ways. You are an aspiring conspiracy theorist... investigate.

So a crisis actor not wanting to participate in what turned into a scripted interview from a once reliable news organization. Sounds like you're looking for ways to discredit the student over the fake news.

Anyone remember when civil DISOBEDIANCE was taught in schools?

When did they start teaching civil obediance?

Who says that this person is a student at the school? Who says that the interview was scripted, other than this potential "crisis actor?" Sounds like you are willing to believe anything uncritically if it supports your prejudices.

What does that have to do with establishing the credibility of the OP's story? Nothing. Still waiting for a student ID or other evidence the story is real.

The op is true.

CNN ran a propaganda hit piece complete with manufactured villains.

Because CNN is well known for scripting things, pushing fake news, and passing along information to help the left and the left's agenda. The student is far more believable as CNN has no credibility.

Well, if you want his ID maybe you'll get lucky and CNN will dox him for you, go to his house and harrass him a bit on camera.

This is the "Dissecting Disinformation" Forum. Let's dissect the disinformation, shall we? Conspiracy theorists are quick to accuse witnesses who disagree with their beliefs as being "crisis actors," individuals who are hired to portray witnesses and tell fabricated stories to perpetuate a false narrative. Do you believe that this happens or not? If you believe that there are such things as "crisis actors," and the President certainly does, then how can you tell whether a given witness is genuine or not? What evidence can you present that the young man in the OP is who he says he is, and even if he is, whether the story he is telling is true or not?

Once you have established that the story is true, we can discuss whether it is ethical for a television "journalist" to suggest questions for a student to ask at a media event.

If it's true it should be easy for you to prove it. Prove it.

CNN is not the one making the allegation, the OP is. The burden of proof is on them.

What's your point ?

CNNS disinformation(Propaganda) has been dissected.

My point is that we need to discuss whether or not this story is true, otherwise it should just be dumped into the Mud Pit so the right wingers can high five each other over what might just be another "fake news" story. What do you think? Should we ask the Mods to move it? Or is someone going to prove that this is not "disinformation?"

Add to this the fact that the other main kid from the school giving (scripted) speeches is the son of an FBI agent who is openly against Trump.

At least we know that the FBI agent's son is really a student at the school. Whatever his personal politics are, he is definitely not a "crisis actor." Is the young man in the OP really a student at Parkland, or is he a crisis actor? Still waiting. (For further reading.)

You want critical thought.

FINE.

www.cnn.com... nn-town-hall-gun-debate/

The NRA doesn't create or enforce law.

Cruz did not use an automatic weapon.

Florida has THIS LAW.

10-20-life

Florida ALSO has THIS LAW.

Gun Free Zone Act

Florida like every OTHER state in the United States of Dysfunction has THIS LAW.

Brady Handgun Prevention Act

n its 1997 decision in the case, the Supreme Court ruled that the provision of the Brady Act that compelled state and local law enforcement officials to perform the background checks was unconstitutional on 10th amendment grounds.

I could go on.

How is THAT for critical thought?

And clearly those that don't have an ounce OF it.

Correct. They give money to politicians to make laws in their favor. This is the sort of corruption that is at the heart of government dysfunction. (I will not risk derailing this thread by pointing out where this NRA money originates.)

Cruz did not use an automatic weapon.

Ignorance of technicalities is not the same as disinformation. Now, what evidence can you present that the YouTube video is not a fabrication? I do not trust television news much, but I trust YouTube less. So should you.
